I was trying to avoid a ruck in flex but I can't resist Flynn. Only worry is WCE play the last game and no emergency for flex.

So? Put Gawn at Flex and Flynn at R2.

exit strategy would be a midpricer+flynn to meek and rookie. or english. a low to mid 500k ruck

That's a good summary ....Looks like Blicavs will give SK the chopout though

Some are worried about Blicav's / SDK doing a 50% split .....my POV is SDK was coming back from an off-season OP & was regaining match fitness ...hence the management in the PS game

Prime age for a ruck and should improve. Solo you would imagine.
I am hoping against hope that he and TDK can give me great value then trade into the Meeks and X's at a convenient bye date.

Stanley played vfl last week and is basically retirement backup.
Edwards and molier are no chance of playing this year not ready.
Neale could ruck but I think they will want to keep him at CHF with no Hawkins he needs one position.
The only way sdk wouldn't be ruck is if COS comes on so much as a kpd that they put blicavs back in his old no1ruck role circa 2019. But the counter to that is blitz is 33 and carried a foot injury all last year-its unlikely.

The unknown is what we will do for 2026 ie whether sdk will sign and if he does whether it's to play ruck or somewhere else and whether we look to trade a ruck in to free him up (with Stanley and blitz retiring). But for 2025 it will likely be sdk by default.

Not trying to be too reactionary but Meek almost couldn’t have a better fixture could he

I prefer Meek to SDK long term, but the injury to Worpel, if syndesmosis, robs the Hawks of one of their key clearance players, which may affect Meek's scoring in the short term. Young Hawks may be bullied after losing their only player with 100+ games experience.

I'll be running the fairly standard Xerri/TDK/Boyd/Flynn{flex) but probably grabbing Meek about round 7.

Thanks, worth the risk IMO. Rucks are a scoring golden ticket in SC and I'm 99% taking 5 into round 1

Everything says pick SDK but just can't trust Scott. You present a logical argument, Scott lacks that.

So how many on here are planning on starting him?
I think R2 is a massive risk but Flex is a safer option and if he is the Eagles No1 ruck then why wouldn't you start him.
We saw what Meek & Xerri did last year once they got the No1 Ruck role. Even if he averages 85 he is still going to make a ton of cash.

some ppl hv gone one of the expensive rookies instead of flynn at flex. makes no sense rly. if you conservatively predict flynn to go 80 he is still easily one of the best value points per dollar players

He had an issue with his voice box. Didn’t stop him training, just didn’t do contact training. Can’t compare a bloke who masses points from HTA and Ruck craft to a running midfielder.

He’s also old. I have Gawn, but you’re carrying on something shocking. Pretty valid for people to pass on a 33 year old.
