Can't say i'll stay up and watch, so catchup tomorrow. But as has been discussed, very important test matches ahead. Only gets tougher World Champs at home. Let's see how the Wallabies go over the next 2 weeks.

I can't seem to find an Wallabies injury list easily, I'll keep looking. But! its long and too a lot of experienced and key players. Last couple of days Donaldson out with Injury, JOC recalled.

The key is not get destroyed. Be competitive and continue to get games and experience into the squad.

Damn was ready to chuck it in at half time, did not expect that. 62 year hoodoo broken, bring on Eden park
We still need to work on defensive system, its way too passive, but we didnt have to bother with defence in 2nd half so who cares haha

Team News
Captain Harry Wilson out for the Wallabies. Corey Toole gets his first test. Valetini Back.

Boks make 10 changes.

Wallabies' injury list.

This is what I could find. It's a good chunk of a squad. Probably missed some.
Slipper - HIA
Pietsch - Jaw
Donaldson - Abductor Strain
Alaalatoa - Shoulder
Potter - Hamstring
Gordon - Hamstring
Lolesio - neck
Lyangh - HIA
Porecki - Retirement

Valentini is back now but missed a bunch of important games.

History
The first game between the 2 nations was in 1933 in Cape Town. South Africa winning 17-3.
Wallabies in South Africa
Played 49 - Lost 37 - Won 11 - Draw 1.
Last win in for Australia in Cape Town was in 1992. So another drought to tick off this week.

Good effort by the Wallabies. Boks just a bit to good.

the loss of Wright and White so early hurt. Hopefully all okay. But the injury List grows.
Thought the pack shaded the boks pack, they would've wanted to blow us off the park and worked hard not to give us easy lineout/breakdown steals like last week but I think we got over the advantage line more frequently than them and had cleaner ruck ball. Scrum battle was even too despite Robertson replacing slips.

We were just let down a little by the high ball defense and the injuries obviously hurt as the backline lacked the cohesion it had last week.
Probably shouldve taken the shots at goal in first half too but overall another admirable performance.

Yup huge losses.

And the kicking.

Very positive SA tour.
Need that week off for some injury recovery!

So couple articles on the injury issues for the Wallabies. It is really going to test our depth, but provides chances for those players on the fringes. 2 weeks until the Pumas in Townsville.

Forwards

I dont watch league at all but I think Jorgo is a special talent so is this article clickbait or is he making a valid argument? (I generally like Cullys articles so would be disappointed if hes just trolling nrl fans)
Edit: for those who can't read the article hes saying Jorgo is the best young talent in aus across either code, so we may have lost the battle when Marky Mark left but won the war by retaining Jorgo.

Kudos to RA for identifying Jorgo early and getting him in the side. He's been awesome. Fast, strong, smart. Baring injury should be a main stay for years to come. We have some quality backs.

Samu is a good inclusion.

Jordan Petaia is back in rugby too. Worth keeping an eye on and trying to get him back to Super Rugby.

I was reading some where the Springboks have just as bad a record in NZ as the Wallabies, So I did some quick research before the heavy weight bout.

History All Blacks v Springboks

South Africa at Eden Park - Played 10 - Won 2 - Draw 1 - Lost 7. Last Win was in 1937. In 1994 they had a draw against NZ.

South Africa in NZ - Played 46 - RSA won 10 - Draw 3 - Lost 33. Last win 2018 in Wellington.

NZ at Eden Park - Played 93 - Won 80 - Draw 3 - Lost 10. New Zealand haven't lost at Eden Park Since 1994.

Head to Head - Played 108 - NZ 62 - RSA 42 - Draw 4.

History Wallabies v Pumas

Head to Head - Played 41 - Aus 29 - Arg 9 - Draw 3. Pumas have won 3 tests in Australia. 2 Draws.

Pumas have won 3 of the last 4 against the Wallabies.

Pumas won the first ever game against the Wallabies in 1979 on the Australian tour of Argentina.

Australia has played 1 game at Queensland Country Bank Stadium in Townsville. Beating Argentina in 2021.

Massive Round 3 Double header this Saturday. In a friendly time zone.

New Zealand v South Africa - 5pm AEST - Eden Park, Auckland

Tv Coverage: Wallabies on both Stan and 9. All Blacks on Stan.
Crowd: still some tickets, should be around 18k.

The big games continue. Back on Home soil. The Pumas are a very good team so another challenge for the Wallabies. A few changes through injury, but players are coming back from injury also. But simply need to win these.

Has some free air, up against NRL Dragons Panthers & the AFL Final Giants Hawks, but that does start a bit later.

I'm also looking forward to the All Blacks game.

Few changes for the Wallabies. LSL gets his first chance this year.

Sold Out in Sydney.

TV Coverage on Gem. (or stan). Disappointing. the NRLW is on the main channel in most cities. Should be Wallabies from 2pm, Warriors Panthers from 4pm, rest can be on GEM.

Wallabies at new Allianz Stadium - Played 3, Won 2 Lost 1. Old Allianz Stadium (SFS) Played 27, Won 19, Lost 8. Pumas have played the wallabies there once, back at the old venue in 1995 going down to the home side.

Boks get another chance in Windy Wellington where the All Blacks won their last two men’s Tests in Wellington after going winless across their previous five Tests in the city (D2 L3). Not as good there as Auckland.
