Thanks for that , but i meant the VFL team
We need to strengthen it somehow , i wonder how we manage payments , as we need 2 or 3 strong VFL standard players to move to Sydney , Southport seem to do it well
We have to have our senior listed players play in a better team

My bad. I agree. Players need a stronger team to develop in. VFL team needs strengthening.

Could we have a Melbourne aligned club that could supply us with VFL top ups when we play in Melbourne? I don't know the Melbourne scene at all but is there a decent club around South Melbourne that would be suitable?

South Districts wear the old south jumper but are in D grade Amateurs or thereabouts. Peter Bedford played for them after he retired from AFL. May still be involved with them.

Warrandyte play in red and white and are known as 'the bloods', but they play in Div 4 of the EFNL so may not be interested in their players playing down a level.

Absolutely no way lol and my post was about moving a few to Sydney , like southport do . Not a 5th grade amateur club

Problem is Sydney is so expensive. GC relatively speaking is much cheaper plus people from southern states love the GC. As someone who lives 90 minutes north of the GC, I think it's a bit of a sh*t hole but Vic's just can't get enough of it. I think our best option is to find a strong Melbourne club to partner with at VFL level. Perhaps offer an undertaking to have at least one of their players on our roster as a rookie at any given time? Whatever the case, i think we need to think a little outside the square to improving our VFL side as it's weakness (at times) does effect our player development.

It's not happening
We need to recruit 2 to 4 good VFL players and find them good jobs etc , or we just keep putting up with shit

Looks like Fox is out of the final line-up

Reduces my interest level and our chances a bit. Maybe just a late change to the emergencies, could mean Hayward or someone hasn't got up.

Hopefully not an injury, as I was hoping we'd at least play him vs the Eagles if indeed he's finishing up.
