Does anyone think this will improve things in the World of W? Not just Kane but more admin?
I think they need to find a way for ongoing modest crowd growth if the league is to prosper. We’re leading the way in median crowds by some distance, which is weird since we haven’t been overly successful onfield. I think that, outside finals, only the Crows Port derby is guaranteed to attract a bigger crowd than our run of the mill attendances.

So a dedicated commercial resource to investigate how to grow crowds is pretty important in my mind.

I totally agree with crowd growth being the greatest need, far more so for instance than TV audience or merch although those are not meaningless.
My concern is whether these changes will take us in that direction.
Emma Moore was General Manager AFLW and will now concentrate on commercial aspects and FAN DEVELOPMENT with a new team (ie more head count).
Trish Squires will move from Head of AFL Queensland and International (🤔) to AFLW Operations, covering attendances and venues.
They report to Kane who also has significant other responsibilities.
Lou Caluzzi will report to Greg Swann (not Kane) as AFLW Football Performance Manager.
What I'm not seeing is a dedicated project or team designed to achieve increased membership and crowds.
Why has Sydney been so much more successful? Even though we appear to have stalled somewhat there must be some learnings.
Having attended many matches I have a few theories but I would love to see our club form a working group including fans to lead the way.

Just based on job titles, that seems to fall within Squires's remit.
It seems to me that in announcing such an "important" series of moves that how it relates to what many would agree is the most important issue for W would be front and centre. It isn't.
The AFL is not prepared (IMO) to treat W as a true culture changer and future growth leader. It still might not work but it would be good if they were fair dinkum.
