I can’t buy in to this rhetoric. If he’s not professional enough to put in 100% at West Coast there’s no guarantee he’s going to be professional enough to do it elsewhere.

I think it is a bit of both, in our team or Geelong, I couldn't see him being the way he is now, he would need to be much more professional. None of us would be thrilled to play there if you didn't want to be there, which he clearly doesn't.

If you believe "environment" has no impact on performance, then that's an outlier opinion, in understanding player motivation and therefore on-field performance.

Membrey is a great fella and better for the team structure. Stringer will kick you 4 one week, do a hammy, miss 4 weeks and then go goalless for 3, then do a shit in someones locker

If you are taking both then you dont have West. Hayes or Cochran.

I think it's more a case of expectations of a playing group helping a young player to be more professional.

Yep. Should have picked up Stringer - who on our current team would be willing to to do what needs to be done. Perhaps we should target Rockliff this off season?
