So JSOS is a UFA so about the only way we can bring players in

No team is going to place a first round bid on mcguane, but teams will definitely bid on mcarthy due to his potential .

Wouldn’t surprised me if mcarthy draws a bid somewhere in the mid 20’s, mcguane will likely see a bid being placed on him somewhere in the mid to late 30’s.

Sure getting picks will require some work, but won’t require us breaking the bank and mortgaging future drafts to get our nga’s and mcguane this year.

If butters becomes available and chooses us , we definitely will be able to find the ammunition necessary to facilitate a trade.

It seems like Silvagni's money would be similar to the "outrageous" money we offered Dan McStay.
He's a versatile player who would be able to fill a number of roles, and would be playing with mates in Houston and the Daicos boys.
He's also an unrestricted FA who won't cost draft capital.
What's not to like?

everyone knew Mcstay was coming to us for half the year as a FA. This would be no different. Unless there is a big turnaround with bigger offers, once someone has made up their mind, thats usually it

It was a sperm test to ensure he can pass on the lineage - that's what we're really after here.

So we need to get him to 100 games - 4 years plus a trigger for a fifth would just about do that.
