Its known that Cameron and Checkers are disappointed with what they have been presented.
I think Pendles and Sidey will just sign a contract once offered to them, and same with Howe. As l think his contract is one year, then he moves into coaching at the club.
Billy gave the money gesture or pay me gesture after he kicked his goal against the Tigers. I'm not sure however who that was directed too....
I'd give Cameron a little bit more, maybe Checkers, but as a few have suggested, maybe a one year contract with an easy trigger.
Still hard to believe we're paying Perryman $900k a year for six years.

I don’t think we can afford to not take Petracca if we can get a deal on favourable terms (I.e. future first if they pay $500k of his salary).

The last few weeks has shown that we are very weak in midfield and don’t really have a second banana if nick has an off game.

Ideally would prefer someone like butters or Rowell. But the chances of that occurring this off season is close to nil.

Petracca has been abit off this season, but personally think it’s more related to him not wanting to be there rather then him not being the player he once was.

People forget, he was close to brownlow favourite in 2023 and was doing very well last year until his injury.

He is the ultimate professional, and I think he would improve having nick in front of him.

Voss confirmed it’s a likely ACL for young Harry O’Farrell. Poor kid.

Silvagni an even bigger loss for them now you’d think.

Interstate? His management must have been desperate. Lucky he’s got the Pies and (potentially) the Dogs keen.

Sounds like he really wants out of there & has for a while.

Let's hope there isn't a bidding war. I don't want Blues benefiting out of this in regards to their compo pick.

Hope he's already chosen us on the deal we've offered him.

The club is right to offer Mihocek 1yr with his age and the age of the list. Elliott deserves 2yr contract after his great year this season.

Darcy does deserve an upgrade for next year and a longer contract. The problem is if we pay him 800k a year and you add the 300k we are still paying for Grundy, we are now actually paying more for the ruck position than if we had kept Grundy. Thanks Ned.

True, we are stuck with Brodes contract until the end of 2027!!!
Maybe we should get Brodie back if DC pulls the pin....🤪🤔

I expect the get JSOS as an UFA, and also Petracca, as he wants to come too us, and it was patently obvious we need more midfield depth on Saturday top help Nick. He will come cheap, Melbourne will pay some of his salary I would imagine. As many have stated, a lot depends on what Hill and Cameron want to do. If they want to to mover back to WA, or another club, then our goal posts will shift, hopefully into Zac Butters. We will also take McGuane and McCarthy as NGA talent, and hopefully go for someone like Flanders or Alex Davies from GC, to add more midfield depth and experience.

But the main point is, if you win the flag, everything changes. If we don't, we will need to fix the holes in our list quicker.

That's the media talking it up again.
If he's decided to come to Collingwood, it's a done deal, plus there are well documented reasons why he would want to come.
And no "bidding war".

I would say the opposite

If we win, go chips-in again and just add who we can

If we don’t, maybe it’s time to re-set the list and take a few years to draft and bring through youth

Yeah I agree.

Can't wait for the first Pies v Blues match when he's in b&w 😆

No thanks. We need a younger mid who can develop some synergy with Nick, not a guy traded more off reputation than current and future output.

I must admit l didn't like how Fly was very open about SOS. Due to the fact we have some absolute champions of the club a little disappointed at the contracts presented to them by the club, l was squirming a bit by those comments....
I prefer honesty, yeah a little off but it happened, shouldn’t have to lie or hide.

I think this unfairly conflates the roles of Fly & Leppa

I would prefer to see us pick people up who can continue to build long term with Nick in the center. It's why the club were so keen on Rowell, I hope they're just biding their time until he decides he's done with the Suns. Whilst Trac is incredible, he's getting old. If we can keep our contention rolling, then by all means let's keep trading the right people in. Geelong seem to do it very well, they are constantly competing and contending.

I do trust our recreuiters to get it right. Our recent MSD pickups look quite promising.
