Agreed. Flyin Ryan is so 2018Hard pass. Liam Ryan is not even half the player Bobby Hill is.

Hey Pies,
Just wondering where the board sits with Bobby Hill (don’t need to discuss the details) and Darcy Cameron potentially heading back to WA?
WCE have put a big contract to Cameron which is the only reason he’s likely to consider leaving but have absolutely no idea about Hill staying or going.
We’ve got the Hawks draft picks this year so goodluck tonight.
He was (naturally) better when playing alongside Kennedy & Darling, but I think he’d regain form quickly with good forwards alongside him*Agreed. Flyin Ryan is so 2018
Somewhere around pick 7-10 would be about right imo given Cameron’s importance to our defensive structures and the fact that he’s still contracted.Based on the suggestions here I think we’re a little bit apart. If it happens and based on our list boss I suspect it will land on the Hawks 1R, which I expect to be pick 10 before FA.

Nah can’t agree with that. The optimist in me could justify it, but the realist in me says we aren’t getting pick 1 for a 30yo ruckman who’s never been All Australian, regardless of his current form or importance to us.Cameron is contracted, we'd be after pick 1. You're not just getting the best ruckman, you'll be get a real leader. Someone who would drive standards and make the younger blokes stand taller.
It doesn’t, We wouldn’t want Ryan, our small forward stocks are pretty good even without Bobby. One year younger than Cameron. What does a Ryan for Cameron swap look like if Hill left, no doubt this board feels extra pick(s) are needed?
Yeah, HH & Hayes are good youth in that role alongside our othersIt doesn’t, We wouldn’t want Ryan, our small forward stocks are pretty good even without Bobby.
Given the no of players they are linked to , it is a huge surprise they still have any farms left to give.Reckon Clayton Oliver to the Cats is almost a done deal this season. Oliver will agree to rip up his current deal to get the trade done
The only thing I will say is that we currently don’t have a player with the speed, agility and marking ability that bobby possesses to come in and replace him . Hayes will require time .Yeah, HH & Hayes are good youth in that role alongside our others
Jai Saxena has a bit of pace, x factor. The only thing I will say is that we currently don’t have a player with the speed, agility and marking ability that bobby possesses to come in and replace him . Hayes will require time .
just for a reference:Cameron is contracted, we'd be after pick 1. You're not just getting the best ruckman, you'll be get a real leader. Someone who would drive standards and make the younger blokes stand taller.
Whilst I agree, probably a handful of such players are in the compThe only thing I will say is that we currently don’t have a player with the speed, agility and marking ability that bobby possesses to come in and replace him . Hayes will require time .
I get what you are saying jen, saxena and hayes to a lesser extent aren't yet proven at the big stage, atleast not yet. Bobby is a proven game winner, a true x factor who can turn a game on it's head. So our first preference would obviously be for bobby to remain with us , but if his circumstances change suddenly then we have to gouge eagles or fremantle for high value.Jai Saxena has a bit of pace, x factor.
We’d get even less if leaves in 2026 when his contract expires unfortunately. Try to keep him if he’s open to it, but it might be forced upon usIf DC goes we wouldn't even come close to getting what he's worth to us which is why we need to keep him.
So either way we'd lose, just not as much. We’d get even less if leaves in 2026 when his contract expires unfortunately. Try to keep him if he’s open to it, but it might be forced upon us
If he’s hellbent on going west! Still a lot to play outSo either way we'd lose, just not as much.

For all we know it's already decided and if that's the case, the news is not good for us.If he’s hellbent on going west! Still a lot to play out
King is a FA next year. Dont need picks.Hypothetically Darcy Cameron say he wants go to to Eagles
How about this:
Darcy Cameron + 2027 First Round Pick (Keeping 2026 1st available for King and 2027 likely useless if Tassie come in)
We Get: Eagles 2026 1st and a 2025th 3rd.
Otherwise the simpler trade is to give Cameron in a straight swap for The Hawks first round pick that the eagles currently have (likely pick 11-14)
Yeah but we get one more year out of him while our vets are still around. Post next year a semi rebuild anywayWe’d get even less if leaves in 2026 when his contract expires unfortunately. Try to keep him if he’s open to it, but it might be forced upon us
Ben King isn't restricted? that'd make it even better!King is a FA next year. Dont need picks.
We'll likely need to keep our 2027 first for Eli (or we can deal with points when we get to that point)
Pretty sure we can't trade a F1 at this point, unless Mccarthy is bid on in the first round (which is possible, but nobody knows, given how raw he is)
He would be yes. But its very rare clubs match.Ben King isn't restricted? that'd make it even better!
