Dyson Heppell has retired, you're not even making sense now.
no, he played for Port Melbourne this year.Dyson Heppell has retired, you're not even making sense now.
been there, done thatAlright so Dermot Brereton then
Should solve our forward line woes
“Has been injured for a few years now…”Ryan Burton would be a great wingman, tall at 191cm and moves ok, with a booming kick. His only issue has been staying healthy, has been injured for a few years now quite often. Would happily give him a list spot if it was available, well worth the punt.
We wouldn't have gotten Tom Mitchell if he stayed no?
Prefer we gave game time to Ryan given Silvagni is coming.Burton wouldn't be a bad target I think - as long as we acknowledge that he's not a true KPD, something Port never did. He's a third tall, interceptor and distributor off HBF - with a Moore and Frampton in the side I think he could do well as that type.
As a DFA I think he would worth a throw at the stumps - we don't really know what shape/form Reef will be returning in, Howe's body is becoming a concern and with Frampton, Moore and the (hopefully) incoming JSos all having missed periods with injury this season - another option in defense wouldn't go astray imho.
I hear Mark Williams is availableJust looking at the Brisbane lions last night, they had fair few young players who showed that they have what it takes to compete and succeed at the afl level
Their drafting and development system is just on another level. They are setup to be dominant for a very long time.
Which is what we should aim to get back to.
Might be time to give Ralphy a call just to remind him of this…. Tell him it’s a scoop and he won’t be able to resist! The amount of protection these flogs get from the media is astounding. The Steggles nightclub narcolepsy debacle was mind blowing. If that was Pies player it would have been front page news for a week and Walphy would be calling for a life ban
Brand Petracca will skyrocket at the Pies…. There’s the money! Not when they are being asked to play a year for nothing.
You are thinking of deals where a player with say 2 years to run at $500k might have taken 3 years at something like $400-450.
Feel free to bring up one of the many players who have swapped clubs and taken the kind of haircut you are suggesting?
We’re having a crack.100% agree, just feel as though we will be back in the pack in the chase with Geelong, Bulldogs and Hawthorn all over him.
Next season the Saints are paying $3.75m between Nas and TDK. I think that puts an end to their free agency.
One option is to trade our future first for Petracca and Mebourne's future 2nd.How do we get Petracca? Doesn’t he still have 3 or so to run on his contract? And we don’t have any draft picks to satisfy the Dees? Or am I missing something?
Ed's brother works at SEN as a producer. That's somethingWe need more Pies working at SEN. Give us the good stuff.
