Still gonna be weird to see the Silvagni name run out for our senior team next year

As if our clashes needed more spice added to them, Jack just threw a dollop of The Last Dab on there

This is the problem with their club, they are still living like it's 1995. It's a business now, and FA allows players some sort of control over their life, and career. He has made a decision to move on, if they were any good as an organisation, he would have stayed for life. Clearly the club has issues and the supporters should understand that until the club changes its culture he wont be the last player to leave. JSOS, TDK and possibly Curnow, ask yourself why that would be. Something is rotten at the club, and because he is coming to us potentially they are up in arms. Just accept it and move on.
I do get it though. The family name is as rich in history as the Daicos name with us. If Nick or Josh up and left for Carlton imagine what we'd be like? To make it sweeter though, they've been shit for 30 years and it sort of seems like Jack is choosing us for success as well given were balls deep in a premiership campaign. Just a warm and fuzzy feeling for us over those scum bags. Be funnier when Curnow leaves for Sydney too

All we need now is Jack to push forward late in the 4th quarter next year against the scum and kick a massive goal, the boys all mob him and he tugs at his Pies jumper in front of the Carlton cheer squad. I think id expel fluids from every orifice and pass out with joy

Id say they'd be melting something for sure
This is my favourite so far:

Really couldn't give a rat's arse about either of 'em tbh (NOSOS or DeGoning).
Rather guys like Cowan and Cottrell.

If my club was relying on Cowan and Cottrell, I’d become a free agent supporter.

Yes, but my point was they are in denial about why he is leaving, not who he is going to, that part doesn't matter. If Nick was ever to leave us, I would be asking why, no one ever does things without a reason.

The original was fantastic. Loved the part where he punched on with the the old bloke and lost, lol.
Bob Barker. "The price is right bitch!"

The original was ok, a bit silly - but nothing on Caddyshack.

"I've sent kids younger than you to the gas chamber Billy. Didn't want to do it. But I felt I owed it to them."

I know some Carlton people who would slash their wrists were that to actually happen :tearsofjoy:

Caddyshack is in a league of it's own. Such a funny movie

They just live in constant denial. Its glorious. Makes the heartaches even more shocking for them

I've long admired your Caddyshack avatar. Be the ball, Danny.

Family reasons are Family reasons Bobby is one of the best small fwds in the game. So those arguments are semantics.
Conflating training absences as being awol, is disingenuous, particularly to imply it devalues Bobby’s trade value.

Comparison is entirely appropriate.
Didn’t think what I was implying would have any affect on Bobby’s trade value. Hoping we don’t get screwed if he is traded. Time will tell.

The AFL did investigate Geelong. All they found was Scott potentially earning money elsewhere and that's all they were able to find. They seem to have a bottomless SC but the reality is that they just do things better
I don't think their list would be very expensive at the moment. TBH I think they'd be able to be banking salary cap for a play at a topline inside mid - it doesn't surprise me at all that they're in a position to chase one.

Would be pretty funny if jacks son chooses to go to Collingwood as f/s instead of Carlton.

We have to do whatever it takes to get jack to 100 games.
If he signs with us, I want a Game of Thrones style ceremony where he bends the knee and swears his families allegiance to the Daicosian bloodline for all of eternity.

You’re being completely disingenuous or naive - teams will not treat Bobby’s issues as PERMANENTLY affecting his prospects.
It’s not as if he’s got a debilitating injury that will impact his performance.
So as Eddie suggested, it’s absurd to seriously believe Bobby is worth less than Shooter.
Did Geel get shafted in the Kelly trade because he had family issues and wanted to go back to WA?
There is a big difference between Kelly and Hill. Kelly's family moved back to WA in 2018. Kelly sought a trade at the end of 2018. Geelong held Kelly to his contract in 2019. Despite his family being in WA. Kelly in 2019 won AA and finished top 5 in the Brownlow which pushed his trade value significantly higher than it was a year earlier

No amount of my jealousy can deny that they just do things better than most. They wouldn't have too many on massive money.

Well lets poach a few of the campaigners then with deals they cant resist. Holmes for starters. Tell him in Melbourne they have colour TV now and this thing called the internet. Its a game changer for a young bloke

Yep

Interesting but predictable, golfers are frightening
Great inventors though.

Maybe not. He can also play forward. If Checkers was to leave, for example, it could work. And Marshall would be a much better second ruck than Dan, allowing him to concentrate on just being a forward.

Good insurance for Cameron if he were to get injured. Particularly if Cox also leaves at the end of the year.
The sticking point is Marshall has stated he wants to play ruck not forward or second ruck. Likely to end up at Geelong as they have offered him the ruck role. Also his brother lives down here and plays local football.
