No it wouldn't, it’s just business, you don't win games & flags for being good guys, that said I want both!
Nothing to do with being good guys. We are not improving the list if we lose frampton. Silvagni will replace Howe who we will be lucky to get 10 games out of next year

It would be a disgrace as Billy is our best key defender currently and Silvangi is injury prone and not a star by any means

Hoping we get both as well but if it comes to choosing between both i'm picking Frampton.

Was speaking to a Carlton fan and he believes SOS told Jack to go explore the market, bring back the best offer and we will beat it.

So maybe we won't get him?

SOS needs to realize his son isn't the superstar he thinks he is.

I think you could do a deal where we pay $300k and WB pay $600k and you get him for nothing.

It's one for the lawyers and those with extra information, but I would have thought that the Dogs would be able to find a breach of contract and not pay him at all next year?

I wonder what bulldogs would ask for any busslinger deal?

If silvagni nominates the dogs, its curtains for busslinger’s future at the dogs. Hope we are in touch with his management.

I hope we have a Plan B
I've seen Leppa's notes.

Plan B is to not get JSOS.

Reef will hopefully add to our KPD depth next year - a no trade cost best 22 KPD isn't going to be out there, so it comes down to whether we add another player to our KPD depth, but we didn't add one this year and our situation is actually stronger than it was last year as Frampton has improved a lot. I view it as a post-Howe problem that JSOS will address as well as potentially making us a smidgeon better next year. I don't think that adding a best 22 KPD is an immediate need that must be filled at all costs.

lets just pivot to younger KPD prospects we can develop to eventually take over from frampton and howe.

Still not sold on reef, no guarantee he pans out as a defender, so we will really need to replenish our KPD depth stocks.

Pies must be out of it then because no one is talking about us all of a sudden. Unless we’re sitting back quietly confident?
Gone very quiet

We probably have him our best Offer and Said

Take it or Leave it

There's still hope, look at how big Billy played first up, he was crap but here we are.
One thing on Reefs side is his height and age. Plenty of upside, he's still only 22.
Learning a position after being a mid, then a fwd, will take a bit of time. I see a snippet in him, will he be a diamond in the rough like Murphy? We can only hope so.
To be the best, you truly have to believe in yourself to get there and I think Reef believes in himself.

Pies are not being spoken about because the manager is trying to get more money out of Collingwood.

Yeah, it’s pretty obvious what’s going on. As the consensus goes here, I hope we don’t cave to salary demands. We do need a tall defender going forward but can survive a little longer without so there’s no need to break the bank. In fact at the start of the year the whole footy world would have assumed Silvagni would be a lifer at Carlton and would have never come into consideration. There will be other options down the track.

Saints are desperate to get up the ladder and win now so NWM can stay post the 2y contract. Dogs are the biggest under performers in the comp and know their defence has been their downfall. They have more reasons to take the salary cap hit in a bidding war.

If you can land him for a token pick and only had to commit for the 1 year remaining on his contract do you take the gamble on JUH?

Basically are you prepared to risk blowing $900,000 on the small chance he turns his attitude around and you gain an absolute trade bargain?

I'll be surprised if one club can't resist the temptation.
It’s the potential skeleton’s in his closet we need to fear - hard to believe everything will be behind him.
