I'm so confused, why would he go to any club outside of WA? His issue is not with the club, its being away from his kids. And there is only 2 clubs (WCE & Freo) outside of Collingwood that MAY make the situation better.

If Flanders leaves for StKilda it will surely be for a first round pick, if it is a 2025 first that would give them 4 first round picks.

GCS currently hold picks 6, 12, 15

They have Zeke Uwland, Dylan Patterson and Beau Addinsall.

Zeke and Dylan are considered top 5 and Beau considered top 20.

GCS are sick of losing players they have invested in and have enough kids especially when you account for their NGA's this year.

Would GCS be interested in DeGoey for two firsts?

Is DeGoey worth two firsts? Not really.

But they are in the window, if you can turn Flanders in to DeGoey it really helps their short term goals.

Silvagni hasn't played much footy over the past decade. A total of 120 games over 10 years gives you red flags in terms of his durability...

I'd rather go with a 35 year old Howe next year, this year with all his injuries he has shown to be more durable than Silvagni, at least for one more year.

Definitely agree with the bold, but he’s clearly got an extremely good source on Bobby given how he’s reported on it from the start. Only a few weeks ago it was an emphatic no on Bobby moving and then all of a sudden last night clubs will come for him. On that basis it’s a story because that’s how supporters get conditioned to these moves happening.

I don’t expect people to agree or side with me, but that tells me something shifted recently. I’ve got a theory on it for now though I’d be pissing in the wind airing it so why don’t we wait and see.

He did. He also stated that he was never playing this week and the captains run is always the best 23 + emergencies. I don’t think they’re prepared to rule him out publicly because it hasn’t reached the point of no return, but is it not beyond the realms of possibility that the conversation has been held privately and not received well?
