Annoying as we still need a KPD and don't really have the currency to trade for one.

Might be a case of getting a cheap stop gap like Dougal Howard, James Borlase or Jacob Blight.

We can still trade for unproven prospects at a lower price.

Hasn't been very good when played as the 3rd tall defender.
Seems better suited to an medium height forward.

Still going to the saints on overs is the rumour. Not a fan of his concentration as a man marking defender.

Great to see the recruiting department showing enormous restraint in not getting sucked into matching the saints offer.

Silvagni would have been a very nice to player , provided the contract was at the right price and length.

Giving a 5 year contract is negligent.
A smarter option would have been 3 plus a trigger for a 4th.

On the plus side, it looks like Carlton will play Saints twice next season based on ladder position. Go ahead and pencil in two losses already

You can already see their supporters are excited. I probably would too, although i wouldn't be over the moon signing TDK to 1.7m a year or even Silvagni to $700-$800k, i really don't see those players tipping them over the edge, maybe when it comes to their salary cap.

If it does fail miserably, which i can see happening. They may find themselves with some massive salary cap issues.
