My brother saw, chatted with and let Adam Treloar eat their leftovers at a bar in Berwick in his first season at the dogs.
He was still shattered and loves the club. Did not bag one person at the club either.
I reckon he’d come back no problems.
Absolutely heartbreaking watching him in the days after the trade. Would be good karma righting that wrong in a way

Heartbreaking watching him eat people's leftovers in a bar?

So the Saints backline as it stands will consist of: Wilkie, Silvagni, Aleer, Tauru, Siclair and Nas.

Very impressive on paper

Wilkie-Rock solid defender
Silvagni-In rehab
Aleer-Big money, lots of pressure, low output, only 18 games in 4 years
Tauru-Still a kid
Sinclair-small lockdown defender, over rated.
Nas-Star...but on huge money, a lot of pressure to perfrom

If I am GC, the last player I would let go is Bailey Humphrey, as he matures will be DeGoey Mk II, will go on ball and tear teams apart when it matters. Just like Jordy he is plying his trade forward but given time will be a midfielder as well. Would love him but no way they let him go.
Couldn't agree more. He's becoming an absolute matchwinner in the JDG mould.

I've watched quite a few Suns games just to watch him play.

I can't see any way we could get a hold of him, but we can dream.

Agree and they have the right coach to make it work.

It's a risk but when you have won SFA then it's a risk worth taking.

Makes sense not to chase ghosts if the players available aren’t the right ones. Need to be smart and think 5 years ahead, not just for next year.

If we retain our list, we are a chance to win next year even without any new pickups. Have to consider that some of the young guys and guys coming back from ACLs might be just as good “recruits” as what we could trade in this year.

Go hard at some real big recruits at the end of 2027 instead of blowing our load on mediocre guys this year just because everyone else is.
Yea I feel like our most important recruit for next year is keeping JDG healthy and firing all season. If we can do that, it means we don't need to chase that gun older stop gap mid like a Merrett/Petracca to be that one two punch with Nick.

I do think we are a little light in the KPD though now that we're not getting Silvagni. Not sure how injury free Howe can be next year and ideally we can let go of Dean who just doesn't seem able to step up. What's Jake Lever's situation these days?

Seems all the players we were linked to are now either:

  • Staying put
  • Now linked to others
  • Flat out taken by others

Might be a very quiet trade season this off season.

Would be disappointing from an entertainment point of view but also from a list improvement point of view.

Keep an eye on Merrett.

We don't have the capital to trade just yet though one to watch.

Silvagni plays 10 games a year. So he won't be there much...
Aleer not proven yet. Could be a bit player. In and out of the side. Like he was at the GWS...
Tauru is impressive but still young and raw
