I've got no idea what's around, but in terms of depth players, I'd go younger - 24 year old state leaguer/dfa who we think might be able to become more than depth in the future. I assume you mean Blight from Richmond? He might fit that bill - I've never watched him.

It's not exactly great signs is it that we're this late in the season and Elliott and Mihocek still haven't re-signed?

I see some have become a bit blase about whether Mihocek in particular stays or goes at the end of the season.

I don't really get that, he remains our best tall forward option and I imagine no one has kicked more goals for us between 2018 and now.

If we want to remain in contention next season it's going to be awfully hard to do if one or both of our 2025 leading goal kickers aren't at the club.

Then we have Hill and the great unknown about his situation.

The bits I saw of Reef he was growing into the role more and more all the time. Brilliant point about the players you listed. We were spoilt with Nick being a superstar from game 1 and seem to forget sometimes that regular humans take time to learn and develop

I might be one of the few that thinks he's going to be a good player. I've been wrong before but I reckon he's tracking nicely and will take the next step next year. We wouldn't have extended his contract if he's delist worthy

I'm not saying he won't make it. Hell he may be Howe revisited for all I know. I'm just saying it can be dangerous to rely on someone filling a role who hasn't got the runs on the board yet. Jury is still out until he gets more game time. Then we will know one way or the other. I was still hopeful on him being a hard leading medium forward. So who knows.

You'd keep Macrae over Sullivan? Why?

Sullivan's no world-beater but over the past two seasons our coaches have shown far more faith in him than Macrae at team selection time.
