Wash your mouth out Dave. He's not leaving.IF Elliot does leave who would take his spot in the AFL Team?
I’m going to back him inCan anyone really see Jakob Ryan making it into the team next year?
It’s tough - because if he keeps in the flag race for a few more years then it’s worth serious consideration. Over paying will seem irrelevant if we achieve success. No way I want the Chef for 1.4m x 2 years, no way
He's not small, he's a medium defender at 189cm. He's also 20; so lets not predict how someone might go next year. We'll give him the right to back himself in. With Howe in his last year, if he breaks in, you can move perryman into the midfieldCan anyone really see Jakob Ryan making it into the team next year?
Will parker, perryman and maybe TJ are ahead of him when it comes to backup small defenders.
Not sure if he will have any suitors, but can't see a future for him at Collingwood.
But seriously jen , whose spot is he going to take in the back line to become a full time starter? He's not small, he's a medium defender at 189cm. He's also 20; so lets not predict how someone might go next year. We'll give him the right to back himself in.
You can say that for any of our youngsters. If they develop and perform enough, they'll find the room. Like I said, rotate perryman into the midfieldBut seriously jen , whose spot is he going to take in the back line to become a full time starter?
I don’t think TJ is ahead of him and I’d back Ryan’s footy IQ over TJ.Can anyone really see Jakob Ryan making it into the team next year?

Parker seems to be ahead of Ryan when to comes to playing in the back lineYou can say that for any of our youngsters. If they develop and perform enough, they'll find the room. Like I said, rotate perryman into the midfield
Well Ryan has been injured for the last 8 weeks, so its hard to say whether thats true or not.Parker seems to be ahead of Ryan when to comes to playing in the back line
Agree w all of thisI don’t think TJ is ahead of him and I’d back Ryan’s footy IQ over TJ.
Ryan has all the skills and attributes to make it. Just needs a good run with injury.
He’s a unicorn - plays tall and small, we have no direct replacement.IF Elliot does leave who would take his spot in the AFL Team?
You never build a list assuming your best 23 are available all season and you'll have no injuries. But seriously jen , whose spot is he going to take in the back line to become a full time starter?
He’s definitely down the pecking order. A bit of a make or break year for him with his contract ending in 2026But seriously jen , whose spot is he going to take in the back line to become a full time starter?
I reckon every team in the comp would want Elliot if they could get him. He walks into any team and makes them better.IF Elliot does leave who would take his spot in the AFL Team?
I thought the only other one we were interested in was Archer May.What was the name of that West Aus KPD we nearly took in MSD that we still have interest in?
Speaking of May’s…I thought the only other one we were interested in was Archer May.
If that's true it's ****ing hilarious. I can't stand the Entrecote Throttler.Speaking of May’s…
Traded - Steven May [traded with Kade Kolodjashnij to Melbourne for pick 6]
Question for the Dees supporters, does Kolodjashnij fit in your backline when Lever comes back? Though Salem stepped up this year so have Lever/Salem on the flanks. I guess KK to a back pocket? We have a lot of players competing for spots in the backline. May, Jetta, Hibberd and Salem will be...www.bigfooty.com
I would have C4 up there as having the best mail on this site.
Back to the future, something in thatI see a difference between Mihocek and most of those golden oldies. Gunston for instance plays old school forward footy hitting up at the ball carrier when most forwards are looking for it over the top these days. Mihocek doesn’t strike me as the type to suddenly bounce back with his extremely attritional playing style and I don’t suspect we’ll see a late career spike at say 35. I do wonder what Gardiner’s role has been in luring Buller across.
