How are any of Macrae, aj or HDM a sweetener? Two will be delisted and one is a long way off showing he is afl capable. The suns vfl team is stacked. They don’t need VFL footballers
They've got rucks coming out of their ears.I can't see GC letting a contracted Moyle go when Witts is toward the end on top of losing Rowell without gaining players to replace the quality.

Not much, and more of a pure ruck. Cant really play forward. They've got rucks coming out of their ears.
I don't think Moyle would be for us anyway - doesn't have much of a marking game, does he?
Witts is playing as well as he ever has, and they have Read, Himmelberg and Knobel as various other ruck options. Not sure they'd be too attached to Moyle.I can't see GC letting a contracted Moyle go when Witts is toward the end on top of losing Rowell without gaining players to replace the quality.

I'm not sure about these either. He took his fair share of contested marks last season in limited outings (approx 1.4/game). A sample size so small as to be hard to glean much from, but it's promising for a young player. Not much, and more of a pure ruck. Cant really play forward.
Too much like Witts.
Still appearing for me TD - it's a story about St Kilda being the frontrunner for Leek Aleer (bastards)Tweet been Deleted
It's not possible if Rowell resigns and I'm curious to know how Petrcca's 1 million dollar salary not to mention the trade cost fits into the cap.I’m not advocating it or wishing to rid ourselves of DC as I love him!
But people are saying stupid things like “we simply can’t get Rowell or anyone like that” and I’m showing how it’s possible.
If Rowell, Petracca or Richards are live options, then you look at them.
If the situation is untenable and if Melbourne concede it’s time for a rebuild, they’d pay some of his contract. It's not possible if Rowell resigns and I'm curious to know how Petrcca's 1 million dollar salary not to mention the trade cost fits into the cap.

It happen when you dont have too many star playersSaints seem to have Millions in there Salary Cap
Love the sound of this, but rather we spend the salary on Rowell if we're in with a real chance of landing him.I’ve heard Petracca to the Pies may have some legs..
Wouldn't want Worpel and Long in combination.I think Worpel would be good alongside Nick (and Perryman, Long, Allan and others). He's very tough and hard at it, and his kicking took a significant step forward last season. He was huge for Hawthorn last year in a slightly more refined role - he is not the butcher he used to be, and adds some edge. I think he'd help Nick insofar as being a first hands to the footy type who can get it to Nick in space, but similarly has the flexibility to do his own damage.
I think with the age profile of our midfield (Pendlebury & Sidebottom are 3rd and 4th in centre bounce attendance for us respectively) we should focus on talent acquisition in general first and foremost. Getting Worpel as a FA would be great, although I think Hawthorn rate him highly internally.
I think Perryman will be a fixture of our midfield for a long time, alongside Nick. Josh can pinch hit there too, as can Lipinski. De Goey and Crisp have been playing outside of the centre, but I wouldn't have any doubt that they can return to roles there. If Long and Allan keep developing well (or even just Long, given he's contracted for a couple of years), and McGuane can come in as a skilled outside player, then I think we'd be well situated with a group next year of.
Core: N Daicos, Perryman, Worpel, Long
Outgoing*: Pendlebury, Sidebottom, Crisp, Mitchell
Upcoming: Allan, McGuane
Pinch-hitters: De Goey, J Daicos, Lipinski, Harrison/McCreery (?)
VFL depth: the Sullivans of the world
*not in 2026 necessarily, but over the coming few years.
TLDR: I think Worpel would complement Nick nicely
It’s strange, but it could be that they project Reid as a mobile ruck that will overtake Moyle. In which case Moyle will seek other opportunities, and they’d ideally want another developing young ruck if that’s the case, as Witts won’t be around forever.GCS have Moyle and Witts, but I'd be interested to know why they picked up Max Knobel as a DFA, even though Freo were going to rookie him again. Either they're preparing for life without Witts, he is 32, or they're stock piling rucks!
Why? His kicking was much improved last seasonWouldn't want Worpel and Long in combination.
I think he’s referring to their speed/agility. Don’t think Worpel is known for eitherWhy? His kicking was much improved last season
Is that an issue? He’s quicker than Long & Pendlebury, and powers through tackles. Doesn’t seem slow or heavy-footed to me.I think he’s referring to their speed/agility. Don’t think Worpel is known for either
You're probably right. I haven't paid much attention recently. He's probably improved. He used to be really good in the contest but then a one way attacking mid that used it badly. Mitchell probably uses him really well and has made a good player out of him. Why? His kicking was much improved last season

Looked good last year. Bursts out of tackles, hits targets.
Obviously not a proper metric, but his player thread on the Hawks board is full of praise over his improved kicking, especially I50. Think he’d slot in neatly, but doubt Hawks let him goYou're probably right. I haven't paid much attention recently. He's probably improved.
