I don’t think $800k is particularly unreasonable anymore with the CBA changes. If we were talking $1m+ then it becomes more of an issue, and that could be what WC offers, but do you leave a successful club at the peak of your powers to go to an absolute basket case for $1m over 5 years? Especially when remaining a 1 club player at a club like Collingwood has significant potential financial opportunities that come with it?I agree, but after the Grundy situation I wonder if that ruck position is one we value enough to pay 800k+ for. Maybe (probably, I don’t know anything) that is off the mark though.
I would hope we pay him and he stays. His contested marking alone is huge for us.
