Certainly an advocate for DC and Bobby to stay. But any scope that would see trade with Eagles for let’s say pick 1, Harley Reid. Throw in steak knives in Allan. We paying overs or take it?

The only thing I saw last night mildly interesting was on Footy Classified by Eddie highlighting the fractious relationship between Channel 7 v Dogs & AFL v Channel 7.

Haven't heard another peep about it today. You'd think something involving a club, a broadcaster & the AFL would be more controversial & newsworthy than a couple of our players in contract negotiations.

1. Silvagni in would dilute any Draper compo pick
2. McKay (big $ till 2029), Ridley (contracted 2029), Reid (contracted 2028), Laverde, Hayes (ACL 2026)

Why would you pay best 22 money for a 4th KPD?

Because Ridley and Reid are mostly injured.

Yep even on the work chat they post links to articles. I don't think it is possible to escape it. Even during half time breaks and pre-game you have those ambulance chasers giving you the news.

I doubt it very much. He's contracted until the end of next year. The urgency is being overplayed imo. I can see them doing something once they know the lay of the land with other player movements at the end of the year (both in and out). I'm sure hell be offered something fair and equitable when the time comes. If he chooses not to accept it, so be it.

If they do leave it will be for 2-3 years on average to slightly above average money.

The compo we would get is something between 35-42 range if we are lucky and in a weak draft.

Why would we let either Elliot or Mihocek go?

We might not need as many points as thought.

McGuane is in neither Cal Twomey's or RookieMeCentral top 25/30 draft power rankings.

Zach McCarthy is 20(CT) and 26(RMC) in the draft power rankings

Bobby deal will be done relatively quickly as a standalone deal. Try and tag it in with a complicated trade and then can blow up and be left paying a player who has moved back to WA to train there, ala Cam McCarthy
