Wilkie is a player I’d happily pay overs for.

His form has been fantastic this year, he's playing his best this year. The biggest hit though was to finances and there’s no way we sign Grundy for more than about 700, so he probably takes a shorter deal until the worst passed.
But whilst we complain about his deal, at the end of the day if we hadn’t signed him on a ridiculous deal, Fly may not have cut him and we definitely don’t win the flag if he’s still there.
Cal Wilkie is a spectacular player and very likely the next captain at St Kilda as soon as next year.
How would he feel about TDK coming in on double his salary?
Someone with knowledge of his opinions this week suggested “bemused” would be the right way to categorise his feelings.
Wilkie has two years left on his deal and is clearly going nowhere.
Even though a rival club recently told him to name his price if he would consider leaving.
He will have to swallow his pride – and hopefully secure an off-season extension – but GWS defender Leek Aleer coming in on very similar money (four years, $750,000 a season) might not ease the pain.
Not when in six completed seasons Wilkie’s best and fairest finishes read 7th, 6th, 4th, 2nd, 2nd and first and he has not missed a game since debuting.
Haha, looks like they've moved onto Saints players getting antsy over other player contracts

Probably all made up but would hope we call Windhager too

Hill won't be leaving this Off-SeasonHappy with the Cameron re-signing, structurally too important, highly rated by Fly, has zero cover within the list as Cox is too far down the decline for a #1 ruck role.
That said, our job going into next year shouldn’t be to try and keep the list happy, give all our OOC players what they want and go again with a tighter salary cap. We need to make a move to sort out our midfield problem. We missed out on Rowell and we’re not getting a quality midfield partner to Nick without any sacrifice.
So turning Bobby and dare I say it Elliott into something should be on the card (as painful as it is to write because Elliott is one my all time faves). Or someone unexpected on the list that has currency. I just think we have to lose some to get some and if we’re serious we cannot go into next season with our current midfield mix.
It very likely is, Rucci is a bit of a laughing stock in the SA footy media, is a Port mouthpiece, so he's Kane basically if he was a washed up journalistObviously I’d be expecting us to make calls on every single player in that list
But after all the muckraking that was just done on our club that turned out to be bullshit, I’m inclined to believe this too is bullshit
They won't leave either.Hill won't be leaving this Off-Season
Only Concerns of leaving at the moment is Elliot Miocheck

So be better for the Club to send him back to WA so we can get a Possible 1st Round Pick for him?We could encourage him depending on where his family situation is at and what the mysterious personal reasons are about. All I’m saying is that we need to be bolder and accept that we need more top end quality in the middle which won’t come free, at least I don’t see it in this year or next year’s realistic FA list. If I start putting names down then posters will come down if it’s one of their favourites. Let’s not forget how ruthlessly we built the list that got us the 23 flag, by design and by constraint. That’s the downside of not going to the draft as much and not building from the ground up with a bunch of kids who will stick together eventually if they’re good enough.

If we turn that pick + a F1 or value we get somewhere else from another player into an elite midfielder then yes. The more time goes the more annoyed I am that Rowell re-signed for the 2 years meaning he’s likely to leave after that anyway. And not just at his decision, even at myself (lol) as I was huge on Rowell and when the trade talk was at its hottest on him I and many others thought maybe Long’s arrival meant Rowell was less of a need. That line of thinking isn’t looking very bright right now. Hope it didn’t have anything to do with the ultimate decision eg us cooling or not offering as much. Anyway, onto the next target.
To me this off season is a success if we get a KPD/tall defender and a top line mid to partner with Nick (and IMO eventually Pez). If we lose players in less critical areas of need for us then so be it.
Should we trade some of the Older Boys IF we can get something good for them Now instead of Waiting to they Retire?
By Doing this in a Season or 2 we have to go Backwards a bit to go Forwards
Second time today in this thread i think that someone has brought up "Something's Happened but I can't tell anyone"Not so sure about that. A lot has happened that destabilised the group, in particular the partners. But lets wait and see the fallout, one off the partners in questions wont be at the pies next year.
This is what I am hoping for, but I guess time will tell. Would love for us to really invest in the draft and bring in top end mids.Should we trade some of the Older Boys IF we can get something good for them Now instead of Waiting to they Retire?

Would love to give shane o bree the chance to see what he can do at the sharp end of the draft . After all he was mentored by stephen wells.
I reckon JSOS is already done.would love Wilkie
Would be exactly what we need
BothI reckon JSOS is already done.
Would rather us not wait that long.I say in 1-3 Seasons we be doing that more
