I thought the 80's was the birth of the helicopter parents.
The death of kids having adventures, making mistakes but learning by them.
Isn't that about when councils started taking slippery dips and swings out of parks because kids might get hurt?

I suppose it began about then. But we've moved in to lawn mower parents - a metre in front clearing the path for their precious ones.

Doesn't necessarily say anything about Brodie. At minimum we need a better backup than Cox. His forward numbers are far better: 11 goals to Cox's 2, both over 9 games. Only 8 hit outs though.

We need to start getting younger. Cox is the easiest to replace, so starting there is low hanging fruit. Possibly then Mihocek for West/Buller as well.

I think it is a need. We had interest in Silvagni and had to play Dean this year. Frampton is not quite right for our defensive style, whereas May is perfect. Just on footy ability we'd consider it. If he were two years younger we'd be all over it.

With May being 33 how the year finishes and who wants to play on is a big consideration: do we win the flag? Does Howe retire? Answer yes to both of those and May becomes a real option. No to both and we'd look elsewhere.

Id allow it (not that my opinion means shit) on one condition - The players were on board especially the leadership group. Pendles, Darcy, Nick etc would have to be 100% sure he'd be a positive inclusion and wouldn't disrupt the culture
