I think clubs have to pay 95% of the cap or something, but if you chose to spend only 90%, you can do it for a total of 3 years and then you pay 105%. So I guess if you are rebuilding and your list is crap and it’s literally not worth spending 95% of your allocated funds on, you can bank it for 3 years, wait till those players have developed a bit and also until you are in a position to start splashing cash on recruits. I’d say that’s typically how it goes.
