He can run, which makes him an improvement on Phillips already. Not sure if he would play wing or inside, is capable at both. At worst he is good depth. At best he sorts out his kicking a bit and helps us in transition. I know that the recycled first rounder is the biggest trap in footy, but I don't mind this if he is cheap.

Also couldn't hurt our chances of getting Wardlaw to agree to a long contract, you'd think.

I would do Tsatas for Corr, CCJ, Fisher and Hansen Jr or a combination of them. It only makes sense if it helps us get out of a few of our ridiculous contracts.

Yep and when you are often first to the ball you aren’t going to have high tackle numbers
He’s still getting 3-5 a game and 30 plus touches

The only thing going for us in the Tsatas trade is if there is one club worse at development than us, it’s the bombers over the last 5 years, so miraculously our club would be an upgrade in that department for him.
Perhaps being around a couple of high end vic metro team mates, plus a general kick up the arse that trade would create could be the making of him - he is still only 20 and will be 21 all of next season.

Richmond shed 15 players and still almost finished ahead of us this season, when that was impossible this time last year.

We are horrendous.

Port finished 4 wins ahead of us which may as well be 50 in our current state.

Again, until we prove otherwise, we have absolutely no business predicting we will finish ahead of anyone.

We would be paying similar odds to finish last, than we would be to finish 12th.

Clarko can't defend. Our players give up and raise the white flag like a junior football side more than any decent side has ever done.

Any other answer is pure copium/blind optimism.


Under no circumstances should we be even talking about trading 30 year olds in.

In fact, realistically, we need to be talking about the long term strategy around Simpkin, Larkey and Zurhaar if anything. All turn 28 and realistically are ****ed in terms of a time frame of improvement. It's unfortunate for them that we've wasted their careers, but they've been compensated twice as much as what they would have in a successful side.

A serious football club would be trying to not run their value to zero.

Not that they would be worth much, with each of their horrendous contracts....

yes Richmond did shed lots of players, but they still had a spine and plenty of premiership players in that team... they didnt put that many games into their newly acquired draftees.... Vlastuin, Broad, Balta Short at the back, Hopper, Taranto, Nankers, McIntosh in the middle, and fwd they had Lynch.... its hardly dominated by draftees, plus other 2-5 yr players in Campbell, Rioli, Mansell, Miller, Ryan

4.5 tackles a game for someone that's around the ball that much is probably below average. VFL, from what I've seen this year, has even more tackling than AFL as well.

For a player averaging over 30 disposals a game, I reckon its pretty normal. Noah Anderson and Tom Green would be thereabouts.
