Compare that footage of Boomer and where his focus is during that warm up. (And he even fumbled when it all started.)

Agree. That's the disappointing part. Switch on and execute the drill or do it again until you do or you're running sprints.

100%. There is a balance to it.

By all means, get a laugh in, but when it's your time to get serious, get serious. Parker had to actually remind them to shut up which is what made me cringe the most. **** me where is the maturity as an AFL player. I feel for the bloke and the coaches.

We don't have enough senior players that know what elite standards are. If they are like this at training, they'll do the same on the footy field. I put the clip of Boomer to illustrate that even when you're having a joke or chatting, you can still maintain professionalism and practice the drill properly.

We're an absolute shambles of a footy club and this is why. Our intensity sucks along with the standards they accept.

That’s the thing isn’t it, if you are like this on training days where you should be focusing on honing those skills and you are just dicking around like a bunch of school kids you aren’t going to be focusing on your shortcomings for match day.

We have some muppets like this at work, they **** around when they should be focusing on their work and it shows by the returns we get from customers where the quality is shit, sadly our management team is like the North coaching team (no balls to call them out) but then craps on about how we aren’t making money.

You reap what you sow and this footy club like my workplace is just on a downward spiral, difference is the company will fold and North will still be 17th next year and the year after.

Get some ****ing balls.

I would say Clarko has been ****ed over by the racism thing, to scared to call anyone out for fear or retribution later on…!!!

the cycle will continue, we will get a couple of B graders in next year that will say the pre season training standard is elite, couple of blokes will run their PBs in the time trial and the place will be a buzz with faux positivity, 3 weeks into the season reality will set in again,

Just some more thoughts on this. Without wanting to read too much into a minute of nonsense social media content I feel it still shows a massive disconnect between the club and a large core of the supporter base who want to see every minute of training invested in lifting standards and potentially pulling out an upset win or two before the season ends. This footage betrays some questionable attitudes and makes me worry deeply about our ability to improve.
