Check out some Tigers games from the last 8 years. We've been either bottom or thereabouts in free kick differential every year from 2017 onwards and have been on the bad side of some truly horrific counts.

If there is a vic-bias, it certainly doesn't include us.

But yes in the GF this year Geelong were absolutely kissed on the dick. I was very very happy Brisbane won.
Agreed, and Ive already conceeded this in the thread.

Having said that, when I conceeded this, way back in the early rounds, Richmond had won 40% of free kick counts against Interstate sides.
At the same time Richmond were only winning the FK count 35% against fellow Vic sides.

So I think its fair to say if Richmond, who the umpires hate, are winning more counts against Interstate sides than Vic sides, there is an anti-Interstate bias.

The GF first half count of 17-4 was an embarrassment for the AFL. You cant honestly deny the Vicbias in the wake of that alone.
But its not alone, as weve seen heavily lopsided h2h counts in Vics favour, runs of 12 frees in a row to a Vic club when down 11 goals, GWS getting 4 frees in an entire match at home, with only 1 after qtr time, blatently obvious differing interpretations being applied in games to name a few.

And then theres all the off field stuff.

If you look hard enough for a bias you will find one.
