Inside word?

Teams not announced until tomorrow but not surprising with the amount of AFL players available

He's kinda the only person that would be dropped for Duryea. We're not dropping our captain or vice-captain so Orgill and CCP are safe and Lewis just kicked 5 goals. Then Valpied is the 23rd man so we wouldn't be able to drop him for a senior player.

At that point it's just Kellett who ends up missing.

We did have 17 AFL listed players last week which is a lot who qualified, with only 1 missing through suspension who is available this week.

Billy Crofts was the other VFL listed player and there must be some doubt about Artie Jones and his eye injury.

Be the first silverware for many of our players, including Treloar from what I can see.

Boys will be firing.

Southport also hurting after losing 2 of the last 3 GF.

Josh Kellett left out of the VFL GF side for Taylor Duryea.

Poor guy is underqualified for his home club, Werribee Districts, who face off against Caroline Springs in the WRFL GF at Chirnside Park, Werribee on Saturday.

Kellett's form has been really strong at VFL level this year.

Young bloke will be gutted.
He is gutted, he requested that he be allowed to qualify for WD but was told he had "nothing to worry about" re his VFL spot.

Just wondering with the 4 VFL byes each year, why he didn't qualify himself for the WFNL finals when the Dogs had byes?

The Geelong VFL captain managed to qualify himself for Heidelberg' finals series in the NFNL.

The Footscray Bulldogs have locked in their side to compete in the 2025 Smithy’s VFL Grand Final against Southport on Sunday afternoon at Ikon Park.

Premiership defender Taylor Duryea comes back into the line-up after serving a suspension, with 18 AFL-listed players set to take the field in the highly-anticipated encounter.
Footscray last won the VFL Premiership in 2016, the same season that the AFL side broke the Club’s longest premiership drought.

Adam Treloar will again take his place in the midfield after impressing in recent weeks, while experienced defender Liam Jones will suit up for a chance at a second VFL flag.
The game will begin at 2.15pm and be broadcast live on the 7 network, with tickets still available to attend the match.

Lin Jong will present the Norm Goss Medal for best on ground and Tony Liberatore will present the premiership cup should Footscray be victorious.

A victory would result in the Club’s ninthReserves/VFL premiership.

Our VFL defence is better then most of the bottom 4 in the AFL

Yeah, I heard the same thing.

I think he has played 4 for Werribee Districts and needed to play 6 and I believe he discussed exactly this dilemma with the club (Dogs) about 6 - 8 weeks ago and they reassured him he will be fine.

Circumstances change I guess, but it is a brutal call. His form in the VFL has been really strong too.

He is a rippa young man and guaranteed he will get around both teams on Saturday and Sunday.

Venturing in for the final on likely 3 hours sleep. So will be taking the public transport route. For those who have been before, is there a station within walking distance near by? Or is trams or cars the go?

Royal Park station is closest but can also jump on the 19 tram which stops right out front
