If so, I don't quite understand that mentality from the players, you'd think they'd be desperate each week to perform, which means communicating and putting in effort at a minimum, they're trying to stay on an AFL list. They dont have the luxury of best 23 players knowing theyve got a contract next year.

Dev shouldve gone to the Eagles, hes not playing again unless there are lots of injuries, Tunstill has gone well past him.

our skills and workrate are woeful.

If Dev doesn't improve his skills he isn't playing at AFL level anywhere and from all evidence his skills have capped out

Tunstill too is clearly a long way from AFL level

Reserves midfield was propped up by JL a lot the past 2 years. Playing Dev down back is probably part of a commitment to give him more experience elsewhere because he’s not getting into the team as an inside midfielder.

Midfield is a lot less experienced and it shows.

Not sure if it's having less umpires or the quality of umpiring but they seem to miss a lot by being in thr wrong position

That was a nice play by Tunstill but I think if we were to have injuries to the midfield you're probably shuffling the senior team to play more of Bailey, Fletcher and Rayner on ball before you're selecting him or Dev

Yep forward ruck. I should say I’m not anti Day like many on here though. Happy to see him get a prolonged run and settle into the team.

I don’t think today changed much. A single big reserves game playing ruck isn’t usually enough to get Fages to drop someone and change select someone else in a different role
