Hopefully Gallop gets a big off season into him, a little more of a tank and a bit stronger. I would like to see him get half a dozen games next year at least. He needs exposure to the higher level.

Annable looks like he can be something.

Beecken and Brain look like they have more to offer than Doedee at least at this stage in Doedee’s recovery after a long time out of the game. I see Beecken as deserving of an opportunity at the top level next year.

Poor Dev. He is too good and somehow not quite good enough. I would assume he is gone next year. He can’t wait forever.

McFadyen just seems a bit too useful and at a good size to not be drafted by someone as a late pick.

Happy with Torrent’s development. Hoping he can slot in as the midfield depth in place of Dev & Tunstill next year but perhaps with slightly more positional versatility which could see him get some senior games with a strong pre season.
I only watched the 2nd half but a few boys showed some good signs today against a desperate opposition fighting for a finals spot - Torrent as you mentioned + Ty Gallop, Sam Day's ruck work, Shadeau Brain, Luke Beecken. Hodge and Annabel looked good as well, Caylen Murray was pretty quiet but did 2 special disposals by foot that stood out.

Remember moseying on down to Cramer Street (which wasn’t far as I lived in Cramer Street) not long before I moved to Queensland and saw Luke Hodge’s first game for Box Hill.

Caught up with a few of the BigFooty Hawks (two of whom went on to become AFL list managers. NB: not everyone who meets me at the footy ends up an AFL list manager, sorry briztoon ) for a chinwag and a bit of kick to kick after the game.

Hodgey kicked a beautiful goal to the Preston Market end in the last quarter.

23 years ago. God.
I played junior footy in Cramer St but down the other end Mr Rip inside the trotting track opposite Northland.....interesting memories n characters.

Being real for a moment, where do we see Cooper Hodge being rated? From the outside, it looks like he started out slow and would have been lucky to be drafted by any club, but it seems like he's really coming into his own. The fact that Brisbane and Hawthorn seem really interested in him really tells you just how high his stock is. His draft year will also have a few good academy products as well, which we can't forget about too.
