Being real for a moment, where do we see Cooper Hodge being rated? From the outside, it looks like he started out slow and would have been lucky to be drafted by any club, but it seems like he's really coming into his own. The fact that Brisbane and Hawthorn seem really interested in him really tells you just how high his stock is. His draft year will also have a few good academy products as well, which we can't forget about too.
I don’t know if we are really interested in him, but at the same time, I don’t recall us playing bottom age academy kids in our VFL team before.

I’m not sure where his best position is, half back or midfield.

I rate Murray significantly higher. Murray is faster, has a better kick, and better vision.

Both are hard at it.

We also have midfielder Archie Watts, who has long been considered by most as the best Lions academy prospect in this age group.

And personally, I’ve liked what I’ve seen of Hamish Macpherson more so than Hodge.

Just top ups. Meekin a medium forward and Wason a small forward I think. Only played a game or 2 this year I think

So Oscar was pretty much soft dropped if he is now playing 2’s rather than managed or rested last week?

If Smith didn't kick 3 he mightve come in
Neither Oscar or Fort have shown anything up forward so that was great for Smith to show something.
But there would still be the option of Oscar coming into the team for Fort.

Possibly, but don't forget that in the two's you at least have the option of manging a player's minutes with a little more freedom.

This should be a competitive game today, Lions in 5th spot on 44 points, minimal percentage behind 4th, Casey in 9th spot on 38 points... VFL is a final 10.

Tom Fullarton making a return to Lions territory, Casey have some handy looking players, at least at this level of footy eg. Jack Billings, Bailey Laurie, Tom Campbell, Riley Bonner, Charlie Spargo.

Again looking forward to seeing how Daniel Annabel and Tyan Prindable go along with prospective senior team options over the remainder of the AFL season.. Oscar McInerney, Shadeau Brain, Reece Torrent, Luke Beecken, Darragh Joyce.

Fergus McFadyen always worth a watch, possible rookie selection in the draft for us.

With respect to Fort, he is considerably better than Oscar and while he isn't a worldbeater, he never lowers his colours. He will always give you a solid performance, and against Collingwood, he was actually amazing. I feel for Oscar, but i feel like he can't get into the team anymore (barring an injury to fort) because he's a liability out there nowdays.

I completely agree, Fort is definitely the better of the 2 currently.
As unfortunate as it is for Oscar last year in particular, when he was the first choice ruck a Premiership was lost with his injury.
This year is a different story and he is currently the back up.
