Very happy with the way Kiddy was moving , perhaps another game in the VFL , he's not far away. Class player , obviously.

No doubt Gallop looks like a beast in the making , still a bit raw of course , just needs more games and another pre season. Great pair of hands and likes a scrap.

Doedee is pacing himself , just about ready as well.

What an awesome game that was to be at live, have not looked at any stats and may have mixed up a few players but my thoughts purely on the eye test with a view to senior footy.

1- Kiddy warmed into the game and was very impressive in the 2nd half, 1 more game in reserves should be enough for him, some great reads of play and intercept marking, great foot skills, so calm under pressure.
2- Doedee was brilliant, so far above this level of footy it's not funny.
3- Tunstill was very very good, so brave and looks to have improved his vision and calmness, thought he showed signs of that in his recent seniors play.
4- Gallop is going to be a monster crash and bash KPF, also his effort in defence is a highlight, the boy can tackle and he clunks marks, very bullish on him... Morris and him playing for the next 12 plus years up front is mouth watering.
5- Dev unlikely to get any more senior opportunities with us but I admire him for his endeavour, intensity and courage.

BTW the best VFL game I have been to, high intensity game with pretty good skills.

Liked what I saw of Kiddy, his anticipation and reading of the game is incredible. As someone said he seems to appear out of nowhere to affect the play. However I think it’s common for good players returning from long term injury, to be solid first up, but then take a bit of time to get back to that level.

I hope the club take a cautious approach with Kiddy.

I only saw the first quarter then had to go do stuff.
Looks like the defenders had lots of disposals
I noticed Fiorini had 204 fantasy points. Not many break that 200 mark.

Coleman got through the game which is great. A few more VFL games to get confidence back. No rush.
Another close win for the boys.

Commentary lasted 8 mins before muting. I hope that the commentators tonight don't refer to us as the bears.

Sorry .................. I forgot to decrease the volume before uploading the Clips above.

(I'm usually diligent at doing this, especially when he is commentating).

That's OK, I appreciate all you do clipping player highlights.

Clips of Ty Gallop from VFL Rnd6 2025

I have to admit that prior to analysing vision for these clips I have been in the "Gallop progressing, but not ready for debut" camp. My view has changed.
I can see a circumstance, just like the one we faced on Sunday, where Ty could easily be the choice to come into the side.
Watching the vision with a single player focus gives a greater appreciation of what a player is doing/capable of delivering.

Some of Ty's repeat efforts and off the ball involvements, along with his crashing packs and bringing the ball to ground were impressive, especially in a VFL game of this quality. Whilst these have been evident at times in previous games, he is now doing so consistently over four quarters.
(A good example of this is his impact over the final two, or so, minutes of this video, which is continuous game time from very late in the last quarter and leads to a lead changing goal that was instrumental to the final result.

I can understand the "match committee" being in favour Darcy Gardiner again, in similar circumstances, but I will now be a lot less apprehensive if Ty were chosen.

Ditto! Ty was highly impressive live as well, glad we matched the Cats bid on him.:D

Glad that, due to perceived advantages they had, several Victorian clubs hobbled the changes to the academy system and we still had access to him.

If in future Logan or Eric is injured, I'd be fine giving Ty a run. Just don't think he can handle any second ruck duties.

Definitely agree for this week. Xerri for NM is a very good ruck so Oscar is going to need good support. Forte the logical replacement for me unless they continue with Hippy as the chop out ruck.
