I didn't agree with some of them, but it was ridiculous, it seemed like every inside 50 was followed by a whistle.
Beecken easily the best for me today, with ZZ and Shagga also in my votes.

You'd suggest he still would likely be a 2nd ruck at AFL level but looked good. Must be reasonably fit as well

He's still only 19 so to be playing this sort of position well in the VFL is encouraging.

It was a real surprise he fell to our second pick last year. Multiple teams were rumoured to like him.
But Beecken isn't a midfielder.

ZZ’s best game. Torrent has come on quite well but the queue is rather long ahead of him. Gallop looks close to ready. Kiddy probably needs a few more weeks. Beckeen is in the queue of defenders who show enough to maybe get a start, but might need patience. Marshall a little quite.
Of the VFL guys, McFadyen is improving quite quickly, Abberley, Arnold, Manly and Ben Thomas are reliable at this level. Don’t know much about Offermans but he looks alright.

If McFadyen makes it through the MSD and ND, I'd consider giving him a Cat B rookie place for next year. He can play.
ZZ out positioned the opposing ruck and took the ball from the ruck contest a number of times. Great to watch. I guess they were considered clearance rather than hitouts.

Beecken really knocking on the door for promotion, but behind Starce, Kiddy and Doedee. Another club will come calling at the end of the year. Can’t begrudge him if he left.

Yes, would be a clearance but only if he got a handball or kick in after he took the ball out of the ruck.

Got a fair incling he will be considered as delisted at the end of the season along with a few others that show promise....our dept is very strong right now and looks like it's staying that way for a few years.

Could only see him delisted as an act of goodwill to help him get to another club. The way he is playing this year he will be getting another contract here if he is happy to bide his time.

On Beecken we have a pretty good idea of how he plays that half back role.
However, he is a fair way down the list for that position.
I would like to see how he plays wing. I don't see any reason why he would not suite that role.
It would take him the rest of the year to play wing the way Fagan wants.
Playing wing will also give some insights into if he could play a midfield role too.
But that's a fair way off for now though.

I like the way he plays but just don't think he will get a chance here at The Lions. If he doesn't have interest from other clubs, I see him delisted at the end of the year.
