Clearly the speed and intensity in the afl is so far above the best state leagues. AFL combine speed and repeat speed testing are the key indicators for likely drafting. As a mid, if you can't compete athletically, you are going to struggle to compete. The few who buck that trend go on to be some of the greatest footballers ever - Lachie Neale

Toby ....a very good VFL player at Willy but hasnt set the VFL world on fire to date.. I was disappointed when we let him go and have followed him closely in the VFL. I was at the memorial Barry Round lunch at Willy n looking forward to see him action between Willy n the Scrays but was just a good ordinary game by him. Sorry Jack..
