Hopefully we've learnt from our loss to England in the warm up that an ODI innings goes for 50 overs and it's ok to build an innings across those 50 overs - getting out in less than 35 overs is an absolute waste

Saw this on social media, are these numbers adding up right?

how can one team who has beaten X amount of times, not be the same as the opposition same number as losses?

Someone else asked that question and the correct win/loss is 102/31

No idea where the second set of numbers comes from

Edit - there's also reportedly been 2 no result games, and seems they've added those 2 matches to each of the lost numbers which is why things don't calculate

well that's dumb. not quite enough for the "things that annoy me" thread

Healy threw her wicket away - we are going at 8 an over and she had a strike rate of over 100, but got impatient with Litchfield going well and couldn't park the ego

I do wonder if this will be the last summer we see her wearing Australian colours

Georgia Voll in. Mooney to keep and Healy out.

Do we play too much T20 and short form franchise cricket now days to understand how to construct a 50 over innings?

We seem too impatient and wanting to go at 100 the whole innings rather than understanding it's ok to have a few overs of knocking it around for singles without needing to go big every second ball

100% is it.

The batters only now how to play one way. Feel like they should look more at players that have performed in WNCL 50 over cricket. Being able to anchor an innings when there is a collapse is so important. As we know in the mens cricket, being good at T20 cricket doesn't mean you are a good 50 over cricketer. eg Tim David, Stoinis, Jake Fraser McGurk to name a few examples.

You can get away with the bowling aspect as the skills are more transferrable in 50 over to 20 over cricket and vice versa.

She isn't even performing for the Strikers. Maybe I'm being harsh because I want her to do well.

She had a really good summer a few years back against know India, but not sure she's repeated that effort since - I think there's a few players who should be under more pressure than they are and that seems to be due to C & VC beside their names

I'd be looking at swapping out the VC to someone like Gardner as we may need to make further changes after summer
