CARLTON’S final dress rehearsal for the 2026 season will come at IKON Park.
The Blues have had their AAMI Community Series Clash confirmed, locked in for eight days prior to the Opening Round clash with Sydney.

Hosting Grand Finalists Geelong on Royal Parade, it’ll be the perfect chance for Carlton to be put through its paces prior to the home-and-away season.

I think they might have played in the 1st half?

Geelong’s only highlight from the GF was Bailey Smith somehow retrieving his headband straight away after a crunching tackle 10 goals down. Priorities, you know?

The AFL has confirmed ticket details for the pre-season fixture, which will go on sale on Wednesday 4 February.

Launching at 12pm AEDT for members and then 3pm AEDT for the general public, the clash with the Cats will take place eight days before Carlton opens the season against Sydney.

Hard to believe the processing fee was worth almost the same as the actual ticket...
Yeah I know, my membership cards would have got us in but I was prepared to pay the extra fees to be guaranteed.

People will be hanging out for footy and I think a good chance it could be a full house.

What is capacity these days? 10,000 ?

GO BLUES,

What's with the change in format? Now only one pre season game is considered 'official'?

Will the game against the Lions be telecast?
Match sim organised between clubs 1st up. Kayo/Fox Footy coverage, yes, for all games..

AFL Community Series the next week.. also on Kayo/Fox Footy

Thank you both.

I don't really understand why both games don't fall under the 'Community Series' but I guess it's largely irrelevant.
I assume it's to allow clubs to run the games in a format that is most suitable for their preseason programs. There are some games that will do 4 quarters as normal and others that are doing 8 quarters plus situational training. It's all much of a muchness, but maybe they have restrictions around time limits for "official" matches.

I think the non community series practice match is more flexible in terms of quarter lengths, players used, rotations etc. Clubs can negotiate overall agendas and such. I think the official "comm series" is closer aligned to real season. I could be wrong.

Saw Facebook footage of the boys flying out. Kemp is flying up
(I think that we can assume they are playing if they are flying up), McGovern, Moir, Pittonet. It's been widely reported that E. Hollands is playing. Boyd, Jagga, Lord, Heyward, O. Hollands, Harry Dean and Harry McKay all pictured at training in Brisbane.

Surprised LC is a no-show.
