Good signs from Cotton, Marsh and Welsh. Is Welsh starting to show signs that it would be worth another rookie year beyond this year??

Cmon, he’s not going to dominate in his first game back, this game was about having a run and getting rid of the rust, he’s a certainty to come back in

One of our strongest teams for the year and we get flogged. Terrible result and you have to question where the mindset of the players are at.

The whole concept for the reserves is to earn selection. Thats a carrot that should always be dangled. So the question is....is it with any real realism and do the players belief in it?

Definitely has the whiff of second string guys not believing any level of performance will result in trigger senior selection.

And/or terrible coaching & leadership of the SANFL squad.

The AFL insists that lower leagues have 3 weeks but the AFL only requires 2 weeks.
Apparently there aren't any good concussion doctors available outside the AFL system

It could be an off day. Plus in truth we dont know what their feedback is like and what is some specifics that they have to work on. But, thats a result youd expect with an injury ravaged squad missing all but 6 AFL players or something. Im concerned.

FWIW even I didn’t see that coming from Sturt, especially after 1/4 time, Ash Johnson also didn’t play.
As far as Adelaide goes, there’s no AFL future at Adelaide for Jones, Nankervis and Scholl, as for Welsh, he looks pretty fit but from what I watched of him it looks like he expects things to just happen for him and showed signs of a bad attitude and lacks discipline.

We are coached horribly in the midfield and around the contests, lack positioning skills and physicality.

All you have to do is watch the way last weeks game against the Magpies went, they played with a system that mirrored their AFL team, we just looked like a rabble

From the bits I saw it was one of those games where you have a player in the middle all day, they can pick up a lot of touches.
