Problem Richmond/Essendon will have is if they finish bottom 2, Port/Carlton will finish close enough to the bottom 2 to just match the bids on Walker/Cochrane anyway.

I suspect whoever ends up with pick 1 will end up taking pick 3 unfortunately
That will be us!!!

That will be us!!!
Random question:

Do you think Essendon will bid on Walker/Cochrane knowing Blues/Port can easily match with the knowledge Bewick is a top rated prospect next year and Port and Carlton could be potentially pretty bad?

We will one hundred bid as we get an additional end of first round pick doubt we bid on both but we will bid on one

When the talent is that good I don’t think clubs care for revenge bidding or plotting.

Walker and Cochrane are the head and shoulders number 1A and 1B, if they’re not bid on at 1 and 2 then it should be 1 and 3.

Hey everyone, I've turned to yourselves as some of you watch the talent across Australia a lot closer than me, I go okay in SA, but never really know where they sit relative to other talent across the country. I'm heading to Woodville West Torrens and the Panthers on Friday, obviously Shortridge, Pilot and Edwards can all play footy, with the later two probably more realistic draft chances over the next couple of years. Is there anyone else that I should have an eye on?

100%. Clubs can't afford not to bid from this point - even if they don't really want the player.

"bUt tHeRe'S aLwaYs a cHaNce tHe otHeR cLuB wOn'T mAtcH"

Bullshit.

if you finish with a top 5 pick and your pick gets moved up due to a bid on a NGA or F/S those clubs get an additional end of first round selection

Wow that’s actually very fair for clubs who lose access to the top player or players. So basically it could be assumed Tigs and Essendon will have a top 5 this year, end of first round plus there seconds.

ACADEMY GAMES LOCKED IN

THE COUNTRY'S leading draft prospects will line up for back-to-back games with the Marsh AFL National Boys Academy this month.

The boys Academy group have returned to playing two games across a week, with the full program to as closely as possible resemble an AFL club's preparation, recovery and training regime.

They will play North Melbourne's VFL team on Sunday, April 12 at Arden Street and then the following week face Richmond's VFL side on Saturday, April 18 at Ikon Park. Both games are scheduled to start at 12.30pm local time.

The consecutive matches against senior opposition is a chance for the Academy to come together for the week, having also toured New Zealand in December for the first international trip the Academy had taken in seven years.

I wonder which prospects come in as replacements for those currently injured?
