Dougie is just owning everything atm, looks like he's played 100 games. When it goes near him, things happen. Skinny as a rake but he's ludicrously talented. Ludicrously.

4 to half time and had a running shot for 5 but missed. Glides in the air to take his marks.
I'm probably overly hyped watching this game but I don't know if I've seen a better junior talent. Just unbelievable the things he can do out there.

He's just so good. He was doing these things at Under 16 and Under 18 level, but all over the ground. Doesn't really matter where you play him, he just looks good but doing at league level (skipped reserves) is a fair feat.

Does he project as a taller mid similar to the likes of Jordan Dawson, Marcus Bontempelli, Hayden Young only better?

Hard to compare/project but he certainly could get to that level. He could play full time mid absolutely but will need a long time in the gym. Might start at half back or down forward. I liken him to a taller Will Day with some Curnow in him.

Come on AFL do us a favour, let Dougie be ours.

To be honest i dont think he should be ours under NGA, but it would be funny to see the angry opposition supporters
I wouldn’t be against you guys having him but doesn’t seem like he should be seeing as you haven’t developed him at all? Maybe I’m wrong on that I don’t actually know

He’s a beauty tho

I struggle to see it happening with Dougie a clear top 3 talent in his draft given there's already been a tsunami of complaints about NGA + F/S already going on.

Would almost guarantee Geelong would get him if they requested it from the same position as Port though so who knows!

Any idea how he differs from Greeves who got knocked back this year?

We have been developing him for a short period of time (start of this year), he has had a hammy 3 month injury, did all his rehab at port.

The question really must be asked though... Do you deserve to get rights to a player who was clearly going to be a top 5 pick regardless of Ports involvement with him because you helped him rehab a hamstring injury in his 17s campaign?

I mean hell, he'd probably go #1 if he was available in this year's draft pool if he was eligible and he's not even in Ports NGA yet.

Not too sure about the finer details, as always it's a matter of predicting the AFL's secret herbs and spices they throw into every decision.
Wonder if Michael Christian makes the calls on NGA eligibility too 🤣🤣

Well i mean i would say no, we dont deserve rights to him.

I agree. At the same time I'd have no issues with Port being on the receiving end of some despicably favourable treatment for once.

Won't effect the Blues getting Walker so not too fussed either way.
I know walker picked blues but:

why is walker tigers nga?

is he Indigenous? if not what background is he from?
