Tassie wouldnt go for nank unless they go for him as just a backup/coach type role as he would be too old and the wrong type of ruckman for the modern game. Nank most likely only has 1 max 2 year left in him

Samson would need a massive year in 2026 for Richmond not to be looking for a replacement and OHB is a project that has 10% chance to make it

Sims is more FWD/Ruck than a genuine ruckman for the next 5 years
We need a 23-25 year old Ruckman that is happy to spend 1 year as backup then take over

There's a lot of water to go under the bridge. I don't think the ruck rule change will make much of a difference in the scheme of things. The extra man on the bench would help Nanks cause too. We shall see.

I reckon we take a second best ruck from another club at the end of this year, somewhere in the 24 to 25yo range and play him as a front line ruck for 4-5 years, transitioning Nank out. By the time Kras/Van Hattum/Sims are ready to take over he will be close to 30.

The problem is that Nank can't play a second position and even if he could pinch hit forward, we're stacked with young KPFs now that will be better in that position. It's first ruck or not in the team for Nank.

He fits a need and is considered the best Ruck in the draft based on 2025 as a 16/17 year old and turns 18 in july
206cm and looks reasonable mobile with good hands when hand balling quickly but i did see some question marks with his marking which i hope gets sorted out in 2026

But he does look like he will be a very big boy both height and size similar to Jarrod Witts who is 209cm
really depends on where we finish and what type of year he has and with Arkie Butler being available or not
I think we go best available talent with a top 5 pick but if HVH has a great combine and a great year he may be the best available at our selection

But certainly fits a need

Looking forward to seeing how Harry Van Hattum, Benji Van Rooyen, Ethan Herbert & Louis Houndsome all progress this year. Will give us plenty of options regarding picking up another young ruck to develop. Not fussed about using an early pick on a ruck if Rhys and co decide that they are the best available talent, while also addressing a glaring hole in the list build.

The Power Cube Marlon Neocleous got off to a strong start in round one of last season, showing his ability to damage through the middle of the ground and inside the forward 50. He had some lovely slick clearances from stoppage, hit up leading targets with F50 entries, and got on the end of a couple himself to hit the scoreboard. The strong wind didn't help his disposal accuracy, but he managed to work through it to become increasingly damaging as the game progressed.

Theyll get 11 first rounders across 3 yrs, 6 of which will need to be traded.
Picks 1 3 5 7 9 11 13 i 2027 draft- 5 7 11 13 need to be traded (although I think there's something about being able to roll draft picks into others but no quite sure).
Picks 5 9 will be fixed to them in 2028 2029 and then where they finish on the ladder (I think its 29 they come in, wher they get their own pick- not from the AFL)
Pick 5 in 28 29 needs to be traded

Watch Pies offer up some has beens to Tassie and grab a couple of top picks. CFL will sign it off due to Collingwood whinging.

I’d recruit him based of his forward craft alone. Swapping him and Hotton 50:50 each fwd/mid would be nice.
