Annoying that we stop getting bombers and dees twice a year when they both turn rubbish.
Would of preffered wc at marvel and giants at the G but happy we get wc twice regardless.

Overall not a bad fixture only one 5 day break against the hawks but they will be coming off the same break.

Funny we get Crows for their opening game and Rankine is still suspended for 1 more match

Agree from a traditional rivalry sense those occassions are massive and not manufactured.

But the decision makers think otherwise.

I am guessing they are hoping we boo Rankine early in the season and that sets the scene for the return match.

So, we're effectively playing finals for a month before finals actually comes around.....ok. Looks like the AFL have had enough of our old blokes causing havoc! They'll all be bugg.....very tired by the time finals come around.

Good to see the golden children (Suns, Hawks) get the flashy way into finals and the Catters are guaranteed an easy run so that their old timers can be eased into the real stuff.

Overall....we need more Pies people in positions of responsibility at AFL house....no wonder they didn't let Browne in.

Cats do travel 7 times next year, as opposed to the typical 6 times like us, Blues, Bombers (& Tigers & Saints, I think). So there's that.

And predictably after quietly abolishing the 6-6-6 rule (two double ups from each third of the ladder) …we are the victims of this relaxed watered down policy.

We only have one double up against a bottom six side and four against a top six side …. Who finished 1,2 4 and 5 after adjusting for finals results last year.

At least the bottom 6 side finished 18th… been a few years since we’ve been given a double up against a genuine basket case
