Yeah I'm not a fan of the FA Compensation.
I just think if a club can't contractually lock in a player then maybe they didn't really want them under contract and therefore they move on.
Or bring in the ability to trade players (under contract) through the season to then receive a returning compensation like picks or players or both.
In what universe is Oscar Allen worth pick #2 in the National Draft.
In the real world if WC tried to trade him whilst under contract, there's no way a team would be giving back pick#2 for him so it was a no brainer for WC to just let him go because they knew that they'd be heavily compensated under this rule.

Q: Are you a Collingwood supporter?

GP:
Yeah, I’ve been a big Collingwood fan since a kid. We’ve done well in recent history.

Q: Are you a bit disappointed in a way that you’re not eligible to go to the the Pies?

GP:
A little bit, it’s a bit annoying but it’s still cool to have your name out there associated with the Magpies. But you’ve seen in the recent drafts a few boys missed out on father-son, so you can’t be too angry.

Disappointed? No not me.
Upset? No not me.
Twisted? Bitter? No not me.

The last Gabriel that was any good was Peter. Enjoy teal, it looks crap!!!!

I know all the talk for when those two knights kids that trained with us was about the big boy, Harry, but his teammate who was the other one that trained with us, the key defender, Tate Hodgson has been named captain of the knights squad

Probably. Fly is allergic to high draft picks.
when has he had any? That’s what happens when you are a coach with the best winning record in your first 100games.

And the late firsts we traded with were two of our best players so far this season. Go figure

Who would have thought…

I would like CFC to retain their top ten pick this year and find another mid talent through unrestricted free agency.

Sorry trade draft missed your post.

Yeah imagine how much better off we would be with another couple of HDMs and Allans instead of Schultz and Houston.

If we have a down year and keep our pick, I am keeping an eye on Kodah Edwards. Started very well for South Adelaide kicking 4 goals and having 23 touches. Kicks well off both feet and is dangerous around goals for a small mid.
