I'm factoring in his finals.

Semi final 142
Quali 110
R24 141
Round 23 (suspended)
Round 22 120
Round 21 (managed)
Round 20 106

The managed is the only worry there
He played midfield in the finals because Adelaide's midfield got smashed. Doubt that continues this year.

Two years Crows have been trying to transition him out of the mids and had to keep bringing him back in says a lot
about the mid quality. DFS defence v Position should have Crows mids solid green this year. Edwards will be a bust, something up with Soligo and injuries . Dawson is really the only A grader and need a big body in there.

Moving Thilthorpe into the middle would be psychotic lol. No way they do that. Backup ruck yes certainly, but midfield? Hell no. He's too good up forward

That’s the entire point.
Want him in there occasionally but not risking a PCL with the ruck contest.
Riley as a kid was a ruck/fwd who played with the skills of a mid.

Built myself some tools to rank all the premos based on statistics. Thought this may interest some. It does not factor in injury. It removes games where players were subbed or had abnormally low ToG. This leads to some weird things like Ridley being ranked really high because he scored very well compared to his price. Generally I think it's a good tool though.

It can't factor in things like McCarthy moving into the middle or games where McKercher wasn't down back.

- BM — Benchmark. The minimum average a player at that price should score to justify
their cost: (Price + $300,000) / 8,000
- Surplus/$100k — How much they outscore their benchmark per $100k of price. Measures
value-for-money: (Avg - Benchmark) / (Price / 100,000). Positive = getting more than
you're paying for
- Consistency — How reliable their scoring is week-to-week. 1 - (standard deviation /
mean) of their clean game scores, expressed as a percentage. Higher = less variance
- Ceiling% — Percentage of clean games where they scored 120+. Shows how often they
produce elite scores
- Floor — Their lowest SC score from clean games. Shows worst-case scenario — higher is
safer
- Fix R1-6 — Fixture-adjusted average for Rounds 1-6. Takes their avg, decomposes it into
stat categories (kicks, tackles, etc.), applies opposition multipliers for each R1-6
opponent. Bye rounds use 60 (rookie replacement level)
- Stability — Percentage of their SC scoring that comes from non-volatile sources
(everything except goals and behinds). Higher = less reliant on unreliable goal-kicking
- Premo Score — Composite score (0-100). All 6 metrics above are min-max normalised
across the filtered pool and averaged equally (1/6 weight each). Higher = better overall
premium pick

Something about a stopped clock being right twice a day.

Good poster though, I hear he was happy to let random's stay at his place in Bali :moustache:
Yeah nice bloke. No clock’s in Bali mate , it’s called rubber time, it’ll happen when it happens .

Do we think Lachie Ash gets more attention from the opposition this year? I'm keen on him, only one season as a premo, so a little unproven.
He was my best pick last year and purely by accident as I chased early low BE's. I don't think that there's any reason to think that his role will be any different and if the cooler is slapped on anyone it would be Whitfield.

My take as well. Kinda got the impression that Ash takes up a lot of positions that opposition don't feel needs tagging so to say? Similar example might be Jordan Clark. That's why I've gone those two. Think they'll accumulate possessions and score well without being hampered with tags.

He's my bail out/bye fix for Bergman in round 5.

Peter "Mastermind" Rhode used to send Luke Darcy into the centre while Peter Street was rucking.

Ask Bulldog fans what they think of his coaching abilities...

The coach before Rocket Eade?

What a spud

SWhy is Wilmot not getting love? Price is ideal, has the role, scoring superb in the back end of last year. I want to pick him.

No chance. He often gives it straight back anyway

yeah maybe he was the only??

There was chat about it in the preseason thread at the time. But if that was the case then I’d imagine there’d be 4 other blokes affected and 5 tigers blokes with weird TOG but it’s a bit hard to tell
