Makeshift Park

I am looking at that North backline and I can't see anyone there who would be taking kick outs apart from FOS who by all reports will have time in the middle.

Surely Kerch is played down back.

Put my mind at ease please.
Makeshift Park has pretty much nailed it. Crazy Clarko seems to want to continue with wee Daniel for kick in duties. He's been doing it in match sims and in the ps game against the pies. I sure do hope you're right though and its Kerch that gets the majority of them. I went with Worrel instead.

Except because the toddler can’t kick over 25m I’d fully expect him to kick to McKercher in the back pocket who then runs & kicks it long. Kick-ins are actually worse for McKercher because surely an uncontested mark would be worth slightly more than the uncontested possession kick in??

Anyone worried about Jordy Clark? Might be jumping at shadows but not quite the role I thought he had
Freo have a dream run now. He was ok yesterday, just a couple of clangers late tanked his score. And Freo shat the bed which didn't help.

Will the kick the ball to him?
I still think he'll be used more but he just wont really get the kick ins as often. It's a shame we didnt get a look at him with Moore in the side.

No - late in the game he was given the ball multiple times, obviously their preferred exit, but he just had a bad 5 minutes, easy 90+ game if he didn’t muck it up & he normally doesn’t.

Also averaged 111.8 in Perth last year, & 96.2 away. 20 points under par but not out of the ordinary for him to struggle more away

They’ll take kick ins off him.
Howe had the equal most kicks ins for the Pies last yr and Moore had a few. It depends how much Fly holds true to what he has said about Houston taking all kick ins and getting the ball in his hands. He has had more in both weeks this yr than he had in any week last yr.

I guess it's a positive when comparing to last yr that he has taken more than Josh Daicos in both weeks and Maynard has basically taken none.

Houston only had 5/14 kick in's last night, not exactly a monopoly

As a owner I watched pretty closely. In only 2 instances where he was he either a) on the ground or b) close enough to the square to take the kick in did he not take it. Daicos took those 2.

Every other time he was within distance when the behind was kicked he took the kick in. He also had the ball kicked to him 3 times from the kick in.

Not sure what his positioning was last yr but last night he was in the QB position he use to play at Port, in the middle of the ground around D50 when the Pies had the ball. Think the Pies slower ball movement is helping him a lot.

Well that puts him in the same category as Sicley but with some kick ins on top.

At the moment I only need to do three correction trades so I think I will pull the trigger on Houston and fix the problem if the role changes later in the season.

Given he has a bye this week maybe better to wait another week
Yeah nah, not bringing him in this week. Want to watch one more week of cook. Already have 188k ITB. Thinking Blackiston > Houston, COleman > Cook (grlj to d5). Oh damn, thats only two correction trades, sweet.
