Just was looking through his Player HQ profile and unless he was playing up an age in representative football then he would be 09 born which would be 2027

We will be hard pressed to create spots on the rookie list for next season as we went over on the senior list for this season and only 5 Cat A rookies spots are available along with the 2 Cat B spots.

Cutting the senior list to open up the required 3 spots for the draft will be hard enough with 4 senior players left to sign on in Amartey, Adams, Cunningham and Jordon.

Jordon is believed to have a contract for next year anyway and if we keep Amartey that means. Only Adams is a delist option with Cunningham a delist and rookie option. We will likely need to trade a contracted player if Amartey stays (McLean or Ladhams for example)

From the rookies Edwards and Hanily are already signed for next year and both Cat B’s are believed to have re-signed as well.

Hamling, Lloyd and Rampe are left and there is nothing to suggest all three will be released. Rampe may retire but the other two may stay on and be joined by Cunningham. We may not have a rookie draft selection just the three National draft picks.

Someone unexpected will probably get the tap on the shoulder to move on, just to be able to comply with the league rules.

I know we also never do it but I wouldn't be shocked if we go to 38 senior listed players just to comply with the rules.

Would allow us to move Cunners on/rookie list, Move on Adams and then we would have 3 senior list spots just needing to cut one of the realistically veteran listed players. I reckon we end up with 3 senior list spots and 1 rookie list spot

Chamberlain we had first dibs on (as did GWS over Hamilton). Hetherton wasn't in either academy, which is why neither club had first dibs on him but were free to try to persuade him to join as a zone selection.

But that's got nothing to do with my confusion about Free Agent's post.

Sorry I wrote whilst on the bus, not my most coherent sentence.

I more meant I think they could potentially let both Hetherton and Chamberlain go, even though when signed they were raw and developing, typically would be given 2 years on the list to develop.

As NSW boys I could see both being convinced to be added to Sydney’s VFL program with a direct chance to get a later list spot.

I also missed I thought Hanily was OOC this year but he clearly got an extension at some point. Also Edward’s will get an upgrade to main list and Rampe would be odds in to call it (see how he goes in next 10 games) so could still be a fair few rookie spots available.

I can’t see us re-rookie Cunningham or other older players this year.

McLennan - in/out mid
Cairns - Mid
Delaney-Fielding - third tall
Marshall-Orr - HFF/third tall

Badger - ruck - moving to WA so likely not eligible

2028 (need to see more of u16s this year)

I am just a nuffie and really enjoy watching the academy produce talent.

It has come on in leaps and bounds since its inception. Eager for when Qld and NSW can stand up their own team
