Really excited to see this news. While I've been keen to get to Gather Round since its inception, it's always proved too difficult on the financial and logistical fronts. But we're moving to Adelaide in January so I'm genuinely looking forward to being part of it all as a local in 2026.

And hopefully the Cats get the Power this time, thereby saving us another interstate trip for the season.

Hopefully they scrap opening round or at least make all teams play and have the Northern states all host games live on FTA

Maybe, but it depends if they want Port to be playing in prime time or not because there's something that would likely hold us back from being a prime time candidate for next years Gather Round - Monday 6 April = Easter Monday = annual MCG clash with Hawthorn

I can see us playing Sydney on the Sunday afternoon type thing next year for Gather Round

I was of the belief that if you play one of two SA teams you don’t get scheduled against either of them the following year. Also we have played all 3 Gather round games at AO so far so it wouldn’t suprise me if play at Norwood or Barosa Valley next year

It would surprise me a bit.

Those venues tend to go to lower drawing sides, which Geelong isn't at the moment. Considering our strong following in the Western District of Vic we also probably get plenty going over each year.

I'd be happy to play North or GC at Norwood though, it is even narrower than KP!

We will be at AO, ticket money in gather round goes to the AFL
