We will get a tonne of Thursday/Friday and Saturday night games, I just hope we get home games against a few more higher profile Victorian teams in the Friday and Saturday slots (Thursday's just so hard to draw a crowd). Outside of the one-off home game against Collingwood this past season we only had the Bombers on a Saturday Night (47k) and Hawks on a Thursday Night (36k).

It is a no brainer to have us play Geelong at home in Round 1 (ignore whatever Gather Round is). We would get 50k.

Thursday night games can **** right off. Friday night games not much better. We had more than our fair share last year.

Reigning Premiers for Opening Round/Rd1

Huge for us IMO. If we Fall short, it's at least more understandable than Being Melbourne's continuous B**ch. Year on year.

If we Go Into the Fury and win. The inner belief will be there from the start of the season and stand until the end.

For years I've said this squad needs confidence from the first game. Feel like it takes about 6-7 for the team to start believing in each other.

Hmm I guess if you cop Brisbane in Brisbane at any time, opening round might be the best time? Coming off a premiership so will have shorter off-season and maybe still have guys coming back from surgery or getting fit over the end of pre-season.

They lost Opening Round to Carlton of all teams last year and got belted in round 1 2023 to Port. Have a pretty bad round 1 history going back a few years and seem to improve over the course of the season rather than start hot.
