So Tigers away in Tassie and North Melbourne away in SA. Not going to give us many simple away games in Melbourne are they?

You are vastly overrated our impact imo.

If the argument was that to move towards an actual fair fixture we should have prime time tv games between two non-vic teams more often the I’d totally agree with you.

But that’s not how it operates so I’m very happy to get a boutique stadium against an irrelevant team helmed by a man who’s in year 3 of napping through meetings.

Also why Essendon Melbourne is at AO, with the latter who turn up to a home game in perfect conditions in their hundreds.

Also the real doomsday scenario is we complain about Adelaide Oval and end up getting the Cats there the following year…. as the ‘home’ team AND they are a double up so we have to go to rort park later that season.

We might even get a double up against norf out of this.

It’s basically what happened to the dogs this year where they had us as a double up but didn’t get a home game out of it.

The Adelaide oval thing is only useful as something to complain about so we get other prime time opportunities.

Be interesting if their one game and Cats vs WA teams are in Adelaide and no return Perth trip.

Last year was 1 game in Tassie, NSW, WA and 2 in Adelaide plus Geelong.
I bet be 2 games in WA. Our one game against Eagles
Sydney and GWS in Canberra middle of winter in the snow
Tigers and prob Hawks in Tassie in middle of winter
Crows and North in SA and maybe Port.
Then down to Geelong

One of the reasons this club has been so successful is because they have low ego and an attitude where they can turn it on no matter the crowd, audience or venue.

So in some ways these fixtures are just a part of the club and they build the "do it for each other" mentality which has seen us go back to back
