AFL 2026 BOLD PLAN

'Our supporters love high stakes matches. In 2026, every round will crown a new monthly premier, the premier will be crowned with the AFL Shield. Each month we host the Shield On The Field tournament. We're particularly excited about the Splash Govt Cash contest. Where the winning club has 1 year to Splash Govt Cash, offer property, precious metals and PSA Cards to one lucky player - anytime, anywhere, anyplace.

Four special events per year, including, the Sherrin Rumble, where the field is filled with Sherrins, thousands of them, and the team that kicks the most through the two big sticks wins, moving onto FootyMania. We're we crown our AFL Premier' - AFL HOUSE

The key is to give Blues and Bombers prime time in the first month or two while fans still carry false hope.

Then move them to graveyard slots in the second half of the season when reality arrives.
I don't pin my hopes on my teams performance based on the AFL fixture, I doubt many supporters do.

Carlton having to play a neutral 'away' game again already for Gather Round is moronic. Surely this should be rotated.

Why don't the AFL just come out in a press conference and say "We will continue to do a heap of stupid shit, because there's nothing you can do about it. Up yours"
We could boycott and return them to the COVID crowds.

Considering we know 2 of the games. We can probably assume Collingwood is Friday.
With the same 5 game at AO setup as last year, we can work out one of Hawks, Cats or bombers are going to be away from AO.
Cats and hawks can’t play Friday, Essendon won’t play Collingwood and the AO game on Sunday is Port v Saints.

I’m guessing Essendon gets shunted. If not maybe us cats 😯
Got this right but it’s us that misses AO.
Cats were never playing pies on a Friday with a 4 day break.

Doggies have played Port, Geelong, Brissy and now Hawthorn. Any chance of a gimmie against North/Eagles/Tigers?

Is there any chance they start making clubs play an SA team twice at AO in the one year?

For example Carlton play Adelaide at Gather Round in a ‘neutral’ game and then play Adelaide later in an official away game later in the year.
It's not a neutral game. Whoever plays Adelaide/Port have 12 away games. It's why it should be cycled through the 16 teams to help alleviate the inequity.

Brisbane supporters are complaining about playing North again, I think it's great.

Meanwhile (some) Adelaide supporters think GR isn't a home game for them.
