Fixture 2026 Fixture

I think it will take time for Carr to build us back up. So I’m expecting us to be around the same area of the ladder. Hopefully with a lot less 10 goal drubbings like in 2025.

We’ve cut deep (which is the right call) and brought in some role players. Didn’t really have much to work with this off-season thanks to the poor 2024 trade period.

I guess but the same amount of wins with a much easier draw means we're getting worse before we get better, and not just worse than normal, worse than 2025 where everything possible went wrong and the club put the cue in the rack early on. 9 wins would be catastrophic.

This is insanely defeatist to me.

How can we have gotten rid of Hinkley after the binfire that was the 2025 season, gotten a much easier draw, and win the same amount of games? Do you think we've gotten worse from 2025?
Imo, with fewer injuries we should place in the top 6; hell, with how good the fixtures are, I'd be seriously aiming for the top 4.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. So you’re telling me I’m a customer and not a member.

Shut the **** up Richo!
You're a member. That's why you get free entry and a reserved seat to 11 home games per year, like every other member of every other club in the league.

The idea that your membership is somehow worth less because Gather Round gives you the option (which you can choose whether or not to exercise) to pay to go to an extra game, on top of the same amount of games that you've always been able to go to and the same amount of games that supporters of every other team in the league get to go to, is quite simply logically indefensible.

St Kilda play there last away game at the SGC on June 7.
Every game after that is in Melbourne.
They might be a smokie for the 8.
Channel 7 is filming a preseason doco about them. They've got a no travel run going into the finals usually reserved for Collingwood and Richmond types. The AFL is going all in on them being the fairytale of this year

And I got laughed at for saying they were my early tip for the flag.

They’re the next Bulldogs 2016.

Saints are way overrated. TDK and Marshall will make each other less effective like Gawn and Grundy did or Darcy and Jackson do. Sam Flanders isn't better than Jack Steele. Jack Silvagni is a solid at best player whose dad came along and offered him $200k more than any other club was offering him in a conflict of interest that makes the greyhound syndicate look tame. Liam Ryan is a decent pickup but hardly a needle mover given how bad West Coast have been with him in the side the last few years.

Lower half of the 8 at best.

That’s about the best I can see for them also and that’s mainly because not leaving Melbourne after June 7.
Still lack real top end talent apart from NWM to be a real threat.

Except for too many Sunday games and a real Friday night game (i.e. FTA) it's as good as it can get. We aren't a 'Big Vic' club, so we aren't getting Friday night games unless we are both a serious top 4 chance and exciting to watch. Best we can hope for when we play, rather than who/where is do well in 2026. We still wouldn't get a Carlton Friday night type draw though.

My range pre-fixture was 6 - 10 for Port next year. With the fixture the 6-8 part of that should be the 'pass mark' (not the aim, the aim is always as high as possible).

I’m just glad we don’t play anyone in the first few rounds who has already played in Opening Round and had an extra game already.
Was just thinking that. Was a massive disadvantage last year for us. The Crows will cop it this year, playing Collingwood away, after theyve had a solid R0 hit out.
