Some crows ITK, "relaying information" has said we will be playing Collingwood in Gather Round at Adelaide Oval.

That is huge if true. Beats the hell out of Richmond or gold coast in the sticks

What are the predictions/wish list for the fixture? We got given a really good fixture last year, hopefully lightning strikes twice

Double ups are what can make or break a season, I am imagining something like

Brisbane
Adelaide
Bulldogs
GWS
Carlton
Eagles

That would be reasonably fair, bordering on difficult

My prediction based on previous years.
Away games:
Geelong in Geelong
GWS in Canberra
Sydney in Sydney
North Melbourne in Bunbury
West Coast at Optus
1 Game in Queensland
2 Games at Docklands
2 Games in Adelaide includes Gather Round
2 Games at the MCG

Just a side note, Geelong has played 9 games against West Coast and Fremantle in 8 seasons at the Perth Stadium. Sydney 10 games in 8 seasons against WA teams in Perth.

As we finished in the middle tier, we could technically get given two teams from the bottom tier as double ups, but more likely it will be jusst one team. That's why I think a double up against port who finished 13th is unlikely, and the only double up from the bottom six will be the toast

Not to be a broken record, but Sat arvo/evening games are ideal for Perth.

2:40 games fit into their twilight timeslot and 6:30pm games can flow on for Fox after the 7:40 EST game finishes.

They need to stop this dumb thing of having the 2 Saturday night games start at the same time.

Hopefully we can make that our "away" game too. I guess it depends if we're selling another away game to North next year

If we are going to be serious in September are Friday nights an important preparation?
I'd also argue that if we want to be more involved in the footy zeitgeist, have some credibility in Melbourne, win some non-Perth fans and increase our sponsorship revenue as a club we simply have to be getting standalone/marquee fixtures.
