I notice the AFL has done the same as last year - a partial release of round 'zero' fixtures.
Thursday 5th March is the season start (but not the real start which starts the following week with the traditional Blues v Tigers game)
Thur - SCG - Swans V Blues (who'd have thunk the computer would randomly spit that fixture out).
Sun - MCG - Pies V Saints (gotta have footy in Vic for Vics where possible) and Pies, apparently, didn't want travel away next year for round zero coz they did the last two years). That travel strain must be why the Pies didn't win flag last year - FMD.
Fri and Sat dates and start time fixtures still TBC but apparently, as reported by Ch7,
Lions V Bulldogs
GWS V Hawks
Suns v Cats
But the real season starts the following week.
